Sepon River
The Sepon River ( vi, Sông Xê-pôn, Lao: ''Se Pon'') is a small river at Lao Bảo border area of Quảng Trị Province, Vietnam and Savannakhet Province of Laos. It forms a border between Vietnam and Laos. One side of the river belongs to Vietnam and other belongs to Laos. The Sepon River is one metre deep and approximately 100 m wide. The water is fresh and clean in summer because it is not near any industry. Surrounding the Sepon River is jungle. The Sepon River belongs to Hướng Hóa District of Vietnam and Savannakhet Province of Laos. Therefore, it is a main artery for the two provinces near there (Lao Bảo and the city of Savannakhet). It is used for buying and exchange trade and commerce in Lao Bảo and Savan of Laos. Every day, there are several motor boat to-and-fro here for supplying goods coming to Lao Bảo town. Lao Language
Lao, sometimes referred to as Laotian (, 'Lao' or , 'Lao language'), is a Kra–Dai language of the Lao people. It is spoken in Laos, where it is the official language for around 7 million people, as well as in northeast Thailand, where it is used by around 23 million people, usually referred to as Isan. Lao Bảo
Lao Bảo is a small town in Hướng Hóa District of Quảng Trị Province, Vietnam, located in the North Central Coast region, near the border with Laos. Its population is approximately 30,000. As Lao Bảo is located in an advantaged area of commerce and border trade between Vietnam and Laos, this small town has opportunities to do business and exchange timber with Laos and Thailand for profit. The Laos–Vietnam border is the international border between the territory of Laos and Vietnam. The border is 2,161 km (1,343 m) in length and runs from the tripoint with China in the north to tripoint with Cambodia in the south. Savannakhet (ສະຫວັນນະເຂດ), officially named Kaysone Phomvihane ( lo, ໄກສອນ ພົມວິຫານ; th, ไกสอน พมวิหาน) since 2005 and previously known as ''Khanthaboury'' (ຄັນທະບູລີ), is a city in western Laos.
