Sepideh Shamlou
Sepideh Shamlou (in Persian: سپیده شاملو) is an Iranian award-winner writer. She has written several novels in Persian. She was born in 1968 in Iran. She obtained a BS in English. Sepideh Shamlou started off writing film pieces, but with the release of ''It was as if you had said that Lily'', she then became a novelist. She was among the many female authors who started writing in the 1990s onwards. Her novel titled ''As you had told Leyli'' was awarded a Hooshang Golshiri Literary Award for Best First Novel in 2000. She was interviewed by ''Haft'' magazine in 2006 on her novel. She was also interviewed by ''Etemaad'' newspaper in 2007. Persian Language

The Hooshang Golshiri Literary Award is an Iranian literary award notable for being one of the few literary awards in Iran that is run by a non-governmental organization. Established in 2000, the award is sponsored by the non-profit Golshiri Foundation. The award focuses on modern contemporary Iranian literature. It is named in honor of Hooshang Golshiri, one of the most distinguished pioneers of Iranian modern fiction, who died in 2000. The first award was given in 2001 (1380 Solar Hijri calendar). Sadegh Hedayat
Sadegh Hedayat ( fa, صادق هدایت ; 17 February 1903 – 9 April 1951) was an Iranian writer and translator. Best known for his novel '' The Blind Owl'', he was one of the earliest Iranian writers to adopt literary modernism in their career. Early life and education Hedayat was born to a northern Iranian aristocratic family in Tehran. His great-grandfather Reza-Qoli Khan Hedayat Tabarestani was a well-respected writer and worked in the government, as did other relatives. Hedayat's sister married Haj Ali Razmara who was an army general and among the prime ministers of Iran under Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Another one of his sisters was the wife of Abdollah Hedayat who was also an army general. Hedayat was educated at ''Collège Saint-Louis'' (French catholic school) and Dar ol-Fonoon (1914–1916).
