''Separate Ways'' is a compilation album issued by RCA Records on December 1, 1972 from American singer and musician Elvis Presley. Released on the budget RCA Camden label shortly after another similar compilation, ''Burning Love and Hits from His Movies, Volume 2'', ''Separate Ways'' was the second and final attempt by RCA to repackage older Elvis recordings by pairing them with a recent chart hit, in this case "Separate Ways" and its flipside "Always On My Mind". ''Separate Ways'' peaked on the ''Billboard'' chart at number 46 and the Country Album chart at number 12 on its release and has since gone on to sell over 3 million copies worldwide. It was certified gold on March 27, 1992, and platinum on January 6, 2004, by the RIAA. Elvis Presley recorded the song on March 27, 1972, and released it as a single with "Always On My Mind" as the B-side. It reached gold status in the US for sales of over half a million copies. It was listed as a double sided hit reaching #16 on Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks, ''Billboard magazines Hot Country Singles chart in November 1972. Karen Blanche Black (née Ziegler; July 1, 1939 – August 8, 2013) was an American actress, screenwriter, singer, and songwriter. She rose to prominence for her work in various studio and independent films in the 1970s, frequently portraying eccentric and offbeat characters, and established herself as a figure of New Hollywood. Her career spanned over 50 years and includes nearly 200 credits in both independent and mainstream films. "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" is a song performed by Journey, recorded for their album ''Frontiers'' and released as a single on January 5, 1983. It peaked at #8 for six consecutive weeks on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart, and spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Top Tracks chart. The song is also well known for its use in the film '' Tron: Legacy'' and in season 4 of ''Stranger Things''. To accompany the song on MTV, the band shot its first concept video. Ichiyō Higuchi
, real name or , was a Japanese writer from the Meiji Period. She was Japan's first professional female writer of modern literature, specialising in short stories and poetry, and also an extensive diarist. Biography Early life Natsuko Higuchi was born in Tokyo on 2 May 1872 as the fourth child and second daughter of Noriyoshi Higuchi and Ayame "Taki" Furuya. Her parents were from a peasant community in nearby Yamanashi Prefecture, but her father had managed to procure samurai status in 1867. Despite only enjoying the position for a short time before the samurai caste was abolished with the Meiji Restoration, growing up in a samurai household was a formative experience for her.
