Seongbuk District
Seongbuk District (Seongbuk-gu) is one of the 25 '' gu'' which make up the city of Seoul, South Korea. It is located in the mid-north part of the city. The current Mayor is Kim Young-bae (김영배), who has been mayor since July 1, 2010. Seongbuk-gu was established under Presidential Decree No. 159 on August 13, 1949 (including some areas of Dongdaemun-gu and some areas of Sungin-myeon, Goyang-gun), and was promoted to a autonomous district by implementing a Gu-level local government on May 1, 1988. In this district, more than 1,500 public officials are making every effort to realize a "closer neighborhood, happier neighborhood" in which the civic future value of balance, coexistence, and abundance is contained in the city. List Of Districts Of Seoul
The districts of Seoul are the twenty-five '' gu'' ("districts"; hangeul: 구; hanja: 區) comprising Seoul, South Korea. The ''gu'' vary greatly in area (from 10 to 47 km2) and population (from less than 140,000 to 630,000). Songpa-gu is the most populated, while Seocho-gu has the largest area. Gu are similar to London's or New York's boroughs or Tokyo's 23 special wards. Each gu's government handles many of the functions that are handled by city governments in other jurisdictions. This city-like standing is underscored by the fact that each gu has its own legislative council, mayor and sister cities. Each ''gu'' is further divided into '' dong'' or neighborhoods. Gangbuk-gu
Gangbuk District (Gangbuk-gu) is one of the 25 '' gu'' which make up the city of Seoul, South Korea. Its name is derived from it being located at the north of Han river. It was created from neighbouring '' Dobong District'' (도봉구) in 1995. The current mayor is Park Gyeom-su(박겸수). Seoul Subway Line 4
Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 4 (dubbed ''The Blue Line'') of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway is a long line crossing from the southwest to the northeast across the Seoul National Capital Area. The central section in Seoul City is operated by Seoul Metro with some trains offering through service to Korail's Ansan and Gwacheon Lines. The southern terminus ( Oido) is in Jeongwang 4-dong, Siheung City, and the northern terminus ( Jinjeop) is in Jinjeop-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. Korea Furniture Museum
The Korea Furniture Museum () is a furniture museum located in Seongbuk-dong, Seongbuk-gu in Seoul, South Korea. The Korea Furniture Museum, founded in 1993 by Chyung Mi-sook, is a private museum located in the Seongbuk neighborhood which is a “hilly area of luxurious homes”. The museum itself is a collection of several traditional aristocratic houses (hanok) “in a village setting designed to illustrate the way the Korean nobility lived during the Joseon dynasty”. Chyung Mi-sook had made the decision to present her personal collection of about 2,500 furniture pieces to the public as she has been collecting traditional wooden furniture since the 1960s and was able to “effectively deliver to visitors the classical Korean lifestyle that cherishes harmony with nature and spiritual satisfaction”. Seongbuk-dong is a '' dong'', neighbourhood of Seongbuk-gu in Seoul, South Korea. Seongbuk-dong is a village located in the north of Seoul, nestled in the hills overlooking the city.
