Sensa Anima
Sensa Anima (initiated in 1999 under the name Crownfall) was a Norwegian heavy metal band from Oslo. Biography The band was founded as ''Crownfall'' at the end or the 1990s, but was renamed Sensa Anima just before they released their debut album ''Synthetic'' (2000). This was their onely release, and has since not done much to mention. In 2000 they won Spellemannprisen in the category Hard rock for the debut album ''Synthetic''. The band members Kildahl, Andersen, Stokland and Berglie have all played within Old Man's Child. Stokland and Berglie have also played together within Khold, and Andersen has played live with Satyricon, while "Si" used to cooperate within Jack In The Box Jack in the Box is an American fast-food restaurant chain founded February 21, 1951, by Robert O. The award was established by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), an organization that represents the interests of the recording industry worldwide. First awarded in 1973, the prize honours musicians from the previous year; it is still awarded annually, usually in January or February. The Spellemann committee, composed of members of IFPI Norway and FONO, manages the award and acts as the judge. 21 categories are currently awarded, in addition to other honorary and industry awards the committee may give. Old Man's Child
Old Man's Child is a Norwegian black metal band from the city of Oslo. The band is the brainchild of Galder (formerly known as Grusom; birth name: Thomas Rune Andersen) who is the only permanent member of the band. History Old Man's Child was officially founded in 1993, but its roots go back to 1989 when Galder, Jardar, and Tjodalv formed a death/thrash band called "''Requiem''". They originally played Slayer and Metallica covers but later released one demo album in 1990. "Requiem" dissolved in 1992. In 1996, after they released their first full-length album Born of the Flickering, they signed to Century Media. After release of The Pagan Prosperity and Ill-Natured Spiritual Invasion through Century Media, the band went on one of their infrequent tours. Khold
Khold is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Oslo in 2000 after the split-up of Tulus. The band plays mid-paced black metal. History Khold was formed in Oslo in 2000. A demo was recorded in late 2000, which caused Khold to be signed by Moonfog. The first Khold album, ''Masterpiss of Pain'', was released in 2001. Later in the year, Khold went touring in Europe to support the album. Khold's second album, ''Phantom'', was released in 2002. In late 2003, Khold recorded their third album '' Mørke gravers kammer'', and also made a music video for the song "Død". The album was released in 2004, through Candlelight Records. Khold went on yet another Norwegian tour in 2005, and then recorded their fourth album, '' Krek'', which was released on 10 October by Tabu Records. Satyricon (band)
Satyricon is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Oslo in 1991. Satyr and Frost have been the band's core members since 1993. The band's first three albums typify the Norwegian black metal style. Since its fourth album in 1999, the band has strayed from this style and included elements of traditional heavy metal in their sound. Satyricon was the first Norwegian black metal band to join a multi-national record label (EMI). History The band were formed in 1990 as EczemaPowaviolenza: by the bassist Wargod and drummer Exhurtum. Eric Si
Lars Eikind, also known as Lars Eric Si, has been a part of the Scandinavian rock/metal scene for many years both as musician and producer. He has been involved in numerous bands, either as a full-time or session member. The first band he ever recorded with was the heavy metal/grunge group Jack in the Box, where he had the role of lead singer. He recorded one EP and one full length album with them, before he left the band in 1995. (Jack in the Box came together again in 2010, after 15 years of silence.) After a while he became a part of the band DawG, which never released anything. Then he became the session-bassist for the black metal band Tulus. He participated on the album "Evil 1999", and the collection "Cold Core Collection". When Tulus evolved into Khold, he became a full-time member of the band. The Kovenant
The Kovenant is a Norwegian industrial metal band from Hamar. The band originally formed as a symphonic black metal act known as Covenant in 1993, but in 1999 were forced to change their name to The Kovenant due to a dispute with a Swedish electronic band of the same name. The band's name change also marked a change in sound/style as well, as the band from there on began to focus more on an aggrotech/ industrial metal sound heavily influenced by Europe's EBM scene.
