Sengkang Bus Interchange
Sengkang Bus Interchange is a bus interchange located on the ground level of Compass Heights condominium in the town centre of Sengkang New Town, Singapore. Located next to Sengkang MRT/LRT station, it is the second bus interchange in Singapore to be air conditioned. It was opened on 18 January 2003. History Old bus interchange The bus interchange was opened on 12 June 1998 as a terminal. At that time, developments around the area in Sengkang New Town were still actively in progress. On 28 April 2001, the temporary bus interchange was located across the road of Sengkang Square. To date, only the main shelter of the old bus interchange remains, connecting Sengkang Square to nearby HDB estates along Compassvale Road. Sengkang (, ta, செங்காங்) is a planning area and residential town located in the North-East Region of Singapore. The town is the second most populous in the region, being home to 249,370 residents in 2020. Sengkang shares boundaries with Seletar and Punggol in the north, Pasir Ris and Paya Lebar in the east, Hougang and Serangoon to the south, as well as Yishun and Ang Mo Kio to the west. Compassvale Bus Interchange
Compassvale Bus Interchange, located opposite Sengkang Bus Interchange, is a bus interchange in Sengkang, Singapore, built to increase the capacity of the existing interchange. It is bordered by Compassvale Road, Sengkang East Way and Sengkang Square. Despite its name, it is not located near the LRT station with the same name, but is actually named after the road which it is located at, Compassvale Road near Sengkang MRT/LRT station.
