The Chamber of Senators of Paraguay (''Cámara de Senadores''), the upper house of the National Congress, has 45 members, elected for a five-year term by proportional representation. The Paraguayan bicameral legislature, which included the Senate, was formed in 1870. The Senate was abolished in 1940 and recreated in 1967. Revolutionary Febrerista Party
The Revolutionary Febrerista Party ( es, Partido Revolucionario Febrerista, PRF) is a democratic socialist party of Paraguay. It was established in 1951 by Rafael Franco, President of Paraguay from the February Revolution (Paraguay), February Revolution of 1936 until his overthrow in August 1937. Blanca Margarita Ovelar de Duarte (born September 2, 1957) is a Paraguayan politician and former Minister of Education. She was the Colorado Party's nominee for president in the April 2008 presidential election, in which she was defeated. Juan Carlos del Valle (born 1975) is a realist painter. He alters icons from contemporary myths, such as processed food, toys, and fantastic narratives. From 2004 to 2017 he presented more than forty exhibitions throughout Mexico, the United States and Peru. More recently, his work has addressed relational art, which employs and addresses social and human relations. Biography Juan Carlos del Valle was born in Mexico City on 9 August 1975. Disillusioned with academic training, in 1995 he joined the studio of Demetrio Llordén (1931–2000), who had studied with painter José Bardasano (1910–1979).
