Seminole State Forest
The Seminole State Forest is in the U.S. state of Florida. The forest is located in Central Florida, near Eustis. Access to the forest is available from Florida State Road 44, Lake County Road 46A and Florida State Road 46. Lake County, Florida
Lake County is a county in the central portion of the U.S. state of Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population was 383,956. Its county seat is Tavares, and its largest city is Clermont. Lake County is included in the Orlando-Kissimmee- Sanford, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Lake County was created in 1887 from portions of Sumter and Orange counties. It was named for the many lakes contained within its borders (250 named lakes and 1,735 other bodies of water). In the 1800s, the two main industries in the area were growing cotton and breeding cattle. In the latter part of the 19th century, people started to grow citrus trees. Tavares, Florida
Tavares (, ) is a city in the central portion of the U.S. state of Florida. It is the county seat of Lake County. The population at the 2020 census was 19,003, and in 2019 the population was estimated to be 17,749. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. Eustis is a city in Lake County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,189 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. Eustis High School is the town's local public high school. State Road 46 (SR 46) is an east–west route in central Florida, running from U.S. Route 441 (US 441) in Mount Dora to US 1 in Mims. Along the way, it crosses the Wekiva River and, further east, the St. Johns River near the Econlockhatchee River. County Road 46 continues west from the western terminus to County Road Old 441 in Mount Dora. Lower Wekiva River Preserve State Park
Lower Wekiva River Preserve State Park is an Florida State Park located on six miles (10 km) of the St. Johns River in Lake and Seminole counties. The park forms a wildlife corridor to the Ocala National Forest along the Wekiva and St. Johns Rivers. Fauna Among the wildlife of the park are black bears, river otters, alligators, wood storks, and sandhill cranes. The park There are two sections to the park, north and south. Rock Springs Run State Reserve
Rock Springs Run State Reserve is a State Park in the U.S. state of Florida. The main entrance is located about north of Orlando in Sorrento, west of the Wekiva River bridge on State Road 46 and extends into Orange and Seminole Counties to the south. The park contains a number of Indian mounds, pine flatwoods, swamps and artesian springs, and a number of creeks and rivers.
