Sembilu
''Sembilu'' is a 1994 Malaysian Malay-language romantic drama film directed by Yusof Haslam. The story concerns on a love story between a famous rock singer, Awie, with his lover Wati which is opposed by Wati's brother. Synopsis Wati, a lovely undergraduate was courting Awie, the famous rock star. They were childhood sweethearts with their parents' blessings. Their relationship was well accepted, except for one person, Azman who is Wati's brother. Azman, with a history of his wife, Maria leaving him for a singer, was against all artistes. Maria later died in a tragic accident and Azman was outraged. Ziana, a nightclub singer had fallen for Awie and tried to lure him. However, the relationship between Wati and Awie remained strong when Awie sang 'Di Ambang Wati' as a symbol of their love. On the other hand, Azman was still trying to break up the pair. Siti Roziana binti Zain (born 2 May 1968) is a Malaysian pop singer and actress. Her music career began in the early '90s with her signature single, "Madah Berhelah" followed by hits like "Terlerai Kasih", "Setia Ku Di Sini" and "Puncak Kasih". Yusof Haslam
Md. Yusof bin Md. Haslam (born 24 April 1954) is a Malaysian actor, film director and producer. He is best known for his longest-running police procedural drama series '' Gerak Khas'', a TV series that he created, directed and produced. The latter spurring three feature films. The immense popularity of his films had led him to be nicknamed the "Six Million Dollar Man". His legacy in entertainment showbiz is now carried by his two sons, Syamsul and Syafiq. Ahmad Azhar bin Othman (born 24 November 1968), better known by his stage name Awie, is a Malaysian singer, musician, and actor. Awie is considered one of the greatest Malaysian vocalist of all time. Born in Datuk Keramat, Kuala Lumpur, Awie's music career start in 1985 with a rock band called Wings, which he became a lead vocal at age 17.
