National Assembly Of The Republic Of Poland
The parliament of Poland is the bicameral legislature of Poland. It is composed of an upper house (the Senate) and a lower house (the Sejm). Both houses are accommodated in the ''Sejm'' complex in Warsaw. The Constitution of Poland does not refer to the Parliament as a body, but only to the Sejm and Senate. Members of both houses are elected by direct election, usually every four years. The Sejm has 460 members, while the Senate has 100 senators. To become law, a bill must first be approved by both houses, but the Sejm can override a Senate refusal to pass a bill. On certain occasions, the Marshal of the Sejm summons the National Assembly, a joint session of the members of both houses. Włocławek (Polish pronunciation: ; german: Leslau) is a city located in central Poland along the Vistula (Wisła) River and is bordered by the Gostynin-Włocławek Landscape Park. Jan Ardanowski
Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski (born 11 February 1961) is a Polish politician, farmer and member of the Sejm since 2011. He served as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development between 20 June 2018 and 6 October 2020. In 1985 Ardanowski graduated from Bydgoszcz Academy of Technology and Agriculture with a Master of Engineering () degree in Agriculture. During his studies he was a member of the Independent Students' Association and was actively involved in democratic oppossition to the communist rule activities. City County (Poland)
A city with powiat rights ( pl, miasto na prawach powiatu) is in Poland a designation denoting 66 of the 107 cities (the urban gminas which are governed by a city mayor or ''prezydent miasta'') which exercise also the powers and duties of a county ( pl, powiat), thus being an independent city. Sometimes, such a city will also be referred to in Polish as city county ( pl, powiat grodzki); this term however is not official (it was used during the interwar times of the Second Polish Republic). The contemporary term ''city with powiat rights'' should not be used interchangeably with the interwar ''city county''. The Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Sejmik ( pl, Sejmik Województwa Kujawsko-Pomorskiego) is the regional legislature of the Voivodeship of Kuyavia-Pomerania in Poland. A voivodeship sejmik ( pl, sejmik województwa), also known as a provincial or regional assembly, is the regional-level elected legislature for each of the sixteen voivodeships of Poland.#Machnikowski, Machnikowski et al., p. 21 Sejmiks are elected to five-year terms, decided during nationwide Local elections in Poland, local elections.
