Seikai No Danshō
is a series of books collecting short stories by Hiroyuki Morioka, set in the same universe and involving characters from his novels ''Crest of the Stars'' and ''Banner of the Stars'', with many of them originally published in the '' S-F Magazine''. The word ''Dansho'' refers to a passage from a written work, but there is currently no consensus on how the title should be translated. One story later included in the 2005 compilation ''Seikai no Dansho I'', "Birth", was made into an anime OVA in 2000, four years after it was published in the ''S-F Magazine'' and 5 years before the consolidation of that story into the 2005 edition. Hiroyuki Morioka
(born March 2, 1962, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese science fiction novelist. Biography In 1992, his first novel ''Yume no Ki ga Tsugeta nara'' ("If Only the Dream Trees Could Touch") appeared in Hayakawa Publishing's ''S-F Magazine''. His short story "Spice" won the Hayakawa Award in 1993. In 1996, he published his first long novel in three volumes, ''Seikai no Monshou'' (''Seikai no Monshō''/''Crest of the Stars''). In the next year 1997 Seikai no Monsho was awarded with Seiun Award at the Japan SF Convention. He released its sequel ''Seikai no Senki'' (''Banner of the Stars''), where he said that Seikai no Monsho was actually an overture to Seikai no Senki. Morioka had already suggested in Seikai no Monshou 2 that the entire series should narrate the life of Princess Lamhirh (aka Lafiel), from her birth to her eventual ascension to the imperial throne. The Blu-ray Disc (BD), often known simply as Blu-ray, is a digital optical disc data storage format. It was invented and developed in 2005 and released on June 20, 2006 worldwide. It is designed to supersede the DVD format, and capable of storing several hours of high-definition video (HDTV 720p and 1080p). Hirotaka Suzuoki
was a Japanese actor, voice actor and narrator from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture who graduated from Tokyo Keizai University. FM Osaka
is an FM radio station in Osaka, Japan. The station is an affiliate of Japan FM Network (JFN). FM Osaka started broadcasting on April 1, 1970. It was the second commercial FM radio station to launch in Japan after FM Aichi. During its early years, FM Osaka transmitted from Mount Ikoma but later moved to Mount Iimori. A supernova remnant (SNR) is the structure resulting from the explosion of a star in a supernova. The supernova remnant is bounded by an expanding shock wave, and consists of ejected material expanding from the explosion, and the interstellar material it sweeps up and shocks along the way. There are two common routes to a supernova: either a massive star may run out of fuel, ceasing to generate fusion energy in its core, and collapsing inward under the force of its own gravity to form a neutron star or a black hole; or a white dwarf star may accrete material from a companion star until it reaches a critical mass and undergoes a thermonuclear explosion. Takami Akai
is an illustrator, game creator, character designer and animator born on November 21, 1961 in Yonago, Tottori Prefecture, Japan. Career history Akai attended Osaka University of Arts majoring in fine art . While studying there, Akai created the character designs for the Daicon III opening animation. The main staff for the Daicon III and Daicon IV opening animations went on to create the animation studio Gainax. Akai was in the same class as Hiroyuki Yamaga and Hideaki Anno. He was a board member of Gainax. His wife is Kimiko Higuchi.
