Seerivarum Kaalai
''Seerivarum Kaalai'' () is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by Ramarajan. The film stars himself alongside Abitha of Sethu fame. The film also stars Manorama, Mansoor Ali Khan and Anandaraj. Plot Kaalayan is a do-gooder with a helping hand living in a Puliangudi town. Kaalayan falls in love with his sister's friend Kamakshi who is tortured and harassed by her sister-in-law Nandini, while Kamakshi's mother and brother are helpless spectators. After the initial hesitation the timid Kamakshi also reciprocates Kaalayan's love. Nandini does not want Kamakshi to marry Kaalayan. The duo elopes and gets married. After a violent bashing up of Kaalayan and Kamakshi by Nandini's men, the doctors warn Kaalayan that Kamakshi's health would be endangered if she were to bear a child. Ramarajan
Ramarajan (born 18 October, 1960) is an Indian actor, writer, director and politician who specialised in acting and directing films on village-based subjects. He is also known as ''Makkal Nayagan'' in Tamil cinema. Career Ramarajan started his career by doing small roles beginning in the year 1977. He turned director with '' Mannukketha Ponnu'' (1985), Ramarajan instead approached Gangai Amaran to compose music. He got his first hype as a lead in the film ''Namma Ooru Nalla Ooru'', released in 1986. He is popular for doing films on the village-based subjects; these films became the notable identity of Ramarajan. He was known for his dark shirts and colorful costumes. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. Harini (singer)
Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback singer and classical singer who sings in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films, working with many leading film composers. She is married to another playback singer, Tippu. Harini learnt Carnatic music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan from the age of four. In her later years, she learned from Sudha Raghunathan and currently from Suguna Purushotthaman. She used to participate in school competitions and in one such competition which she won, A. R. Rahman who distributed the prizes invited the winners to his studio to record their voices. Pulavar Pulamaipithan (6 October 1935 – 8 September 2021) was an Indian scholar, poet and lyricist who got recognition through the song "Naan yaar nee yaar" which was featured in the Tamil film ''Kudiyirundha Koyil'' in 1968. He briefly served as the presidium chairman of AIADMK from 2002 to 2003, when he resigned citing ill-health. Biography Pulamaipithan was born in Irugur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on 6 October 1935. At the early age Pulavar used to work in textile mill known as Combodia mills in Coimbatore and also studied his Tamil literature in Tava Tiru Shanthalinga Adigalar Perur Tamil Kaluri Coimbatore. Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child.
