Obernberger Seebach
The Obernberger Seebach, formerly called Obernberger Ache, is a river in Tyrol, Austria, a tributary of the Sill. The Obernberger Seebach originates south-west of the Brenner in the Stubai Alps and takes a north-east route to its mouth. On its course, it flows through Lake Obernberg. In the middle of the valley the river passes through the village of Obernberg am Brenner. It discharges into the Sill at Gries am Brenner. From the spring to the junction with the Sill it falls more than in a V-shaped valley. It provides the village with drinking water thanks to its Grade A quality. Tommy Seebach
Tommy Seebach (14 September 1949 – 31 March 2003), born Tommy Seebach Mortensen in Copenhagen, Denmark, was a popular Danish singer, composer, organist, pianist and producer. He is best known as front man of Sir Henry and his Butlers and for numerous contributions to the Danish qualifier for the Eurovision Song Contest, the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, which he won three times. He was the father of songwriter/producer Nicolai Seebach and singer/songwriter/producer Rasmus Seebach. Marie Seebach (24 February 1829 – 3 August 1897) was a German actress. Biography She was born in Riga, Livonia, Russian Empire as the daughter of an actor, Wilhelm Friedrich Seebach (1798–1863). After appearing first at Nuremberg as Julie in ''Kean'', she played soubrette parts at Lübeck, Danzig and Cassel. In 1852 she achieved her first great success at the Thaliatheater in Hamburg as Gretchen in Goethe's ''Faust'', and she remained there until 1854, when she appeared in Vienna. She then played in Munich, establishing her reputation as a tragic actress with the lead roles in ''Jane Eyre'' and ''Adriana Lecouvreur''. Lothar Von Seebach
Baron Lothar von Seebach (or Lothaire de Seebach; 26 March 1853 – 23 September 1930) was an Alsatian painter, designer, watercolorist and engraver. Biography He was born in Fessenbach, now part of Offenburg, and raised in Mannheim, where his father was a garrison officer. In 1875, after completing his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Karlsruhe under Ferdinand Keller, he rejoined his family in Strasbourg, where they had lived since the end of the Franco-Prussian War. Like many other painters before him, he set up his studio in the 14th Century Tour de l'Hôpital. Over the next twenty-five years, he made several study trips to England, Berlin and Paris, where he was influenced by the Fauvists. Holger Seebach (17 March 1922 – 30 August 2011) was a Danish amateur footballer, who scored 9 goals in 17 games for the Denmark national football team, won a bronze medal at the 1948 Summer Olympics and competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics. Holger Seebach was one of five players from the same Odense Boldklub team, including Jørgen Leschly Sørensen and Svend Jørgen Hansen, who moved to Copenhagen and was selected for the Danish national team, during this period he played for AB and won four Danish championships. Dieter Seebach
Dieter Seebach is a German chemist known for his synthesis of biopolymers and dendrimers, and for his contributions to stereochemistry. He was born on 31 October 1937 in Karlsruhe. He studied chemistry at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) under the supervision of Rudolf Criegee and at Harvard University with Elias Corey finishing in 1969. After his habilitation he became professor for organic chemistry at the University of Giessen. After six years he was appointed professor at the ETH Zurich where he worked until he retired in 2003. Work Seebach worked on dendrimer chemistry and on the synthesis of beta-peptides. The development of the umpolung, a polarity inversion of the carbonyl group, with 1,3-propanedithiol together with Corey had a big influence on organic synthesis, and subsequently the Corey-Seebach reaction was named after them.
