Atef Sedky
Atef Mohamed Naguib Sedky (29 August 1930 – 25 February 2005) ( ar, عاطف محمد نجيب صدقى, ) was the Prime Minister of Egypt from 1986 until 1996. He replaced Aly Mahmoud Lotfy on November 10, 1986. Biography Sedky was born in the Nile Delta city of Tanta. He was a lawyer and economist by training, receiving a doctorate in economics from the University of Paris in France. Before becoming Prime Minister, he was the director of the Egyptian Central Auditing Organization. In 2004, Sedky fractured his thigh. He died on 25 February 2005 at a Cairo hospital. Sedky and his German-born wife, Ursula, had two children Ahmed and Sherif. Political career As prime minister, Sedky supervised and sometimes criticised reforms suggested by the International Monetary Fund. Aziz Sedky
Aziz Sedky ( ar, عزيز صدقي, ; 1 July 1920 – 25 January 2008) was an Egyptian politician and engineer. Sedky served as the Prime Minister of Egypt from 16 January 1972 until 26 March 1973. He was nicknamed the "father of Egyptian industry." Early life and education Aziz Sedky was born in Cairo, Egypt, on 1 July 1920. He graduated with a degree in engineering from Cairo University in 1944. He went on to earn a doctorate in economic planning from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Career Sedky was appointed as a technical adviser to the Egyptian prime minister's office in 1955, a few years after the Egyptian Revolution of 1952. He next served as a full-time member of the services board until 1956. In 1956, Sedky was appointed as minister of industry by the President Gamal Abdel Nasser. Ismail Sedky
Ismail Sidky Pasha () (15 June 1875 – 9 July 1950) was an Egyptian politician who served as Prime Minister of Egypt from 1930 to 1933 and again in 1946. Life and career He was born in Alexandria and was originally named Isma'il Saddiq but his name was changed after his namesake fell out of favor. Sidky graduated from Collège des Frères in Cairo and the Khedival Law School, then joined the public prosecutor's office. In 1899 he became administrative secretary of the Alexandria municipal commission, serving until 1914, when he was appointed minister of agriculture and later minister of waqfs (Islamic endowments). In 1915, Sidky joined the nationalist Wafd Party and was eventually deported to Malta with party founder Saad Zaghloul and other loyalists in 1919. Following World War I Sidky left the Wafd Party. Mohamed Sedky Mahmoud
Mohamed Sedky Mahmoud ( ar, محمد صدقي محمود, December 12, 1914 – 1984) was an Egyptian military leader. He served as Air Force Chief of Staff from June 23, 1953 to September 19, 1959, and Air Force and Defense Commander from September 20, 1959 to June 11, 1967. Sedky Mahmoud was born in Sendalia village, Daqahliah. He graduated from the Egyptian Military Academy in 1936, and studied at the Abu Swair Aviation School No. 4. He became the first Egyptian instructor in 1936, later became the lead aviation instructor and headed the High Aviation School in 1944. Sedky Mahmoud achieved the rank of Wing Commander and became head of the Dekhila Air Base in August 1949, and then Almaza Air Base in August 1951. He was promoted as the 1st Lt. Gen. in 1952.
