''Secret Weapon'' is eighth studio album by punk rock band MxPx and is considered a "back to roots" album for the group. ''Secret Weapon'' is available in three different versions: * The standard version with 16 tracks * A double 12-inch vinyl version with special artwork * A special edition with a "Making of..." DVD, new artwork, and three extra tracks Background On November 7, 2006, it was announced the group had re-signed with Tooth & Nail Records. In February 2007, the band revealed they were aiming to release an album through the label by mid-2007. Release On May 2, 2007, ''Secret Weapon'' was announced for release. In the same announcement, the album's track listing was revealed, and the title track was made available for streaming. MxPx () is an American pop punk band from Bremerton, Washington, founded in 1992 as Magnified Plaid. As of 2016, current members include Mike Herrera on lead vocals and bass guitar, Yuri Ruley on drums and percussion, Tom Wisniewski on lead guitar and backing vocals and Chris Adkins on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. Sugarcult is an American rock band from Santa Barbara, California formed in 1999. The band currently consists of Tim Pagnotta (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Airin Older (bass guitar, backing vocals), Marko DeSantis (lead guitar), and Kenny Livingston (drums, percussion). History Formation (1998-99) Tim Pagnotta met ex-drummer Ben Davis during a cigarette break at school. Davis (who then played bass) and Pagnotta started to play together on a regular basis. Pagnotta met Airin Older in a music class where Pagnotta was copying Older's work. They became good friends and Pagnotta invited Older to join his band. Davis moved to the position of drummer and Older filled in for Davis on bass. Marko DeSantis was added into the band after meeting Pagnotta backstage at a Superdrag concert. Brian Baker (musician)
Brian Baker (born February 25, 1965) is an American punk rock musician. He is best known as one of the founding members of the hardcore punk band Minor Threat, and as a guitarist in Bad Religion since 1994. In Minor Threat, he originally played bass guitar before switching to guitar in 1982 when Steve Hansgen joined the band, and then moved back to bass after Hansgen's departure. He also founded Dag Nasty in 1985, was part of the original line-up of Samhain, and has had stints in Doggy Style, The Meatmen (with fellow Minor Threat member Lyle Preslar), Government Issue, and Junkyard (a hard rock band). In 1994 Baker was offered a spot as a touring musician with R.E.M. but declined, opting instead to accept a position in Bad Religion as Brett Gurewitz's replacement. TAT is an English rock/punk band hailing from London. History Early years (2003–2005) The band, originally a quartet, was founded in 2003 by Tatiana DeMaria. In 2004 they released their debut single, ' Peace Sex & Tea' which charted in the UK's top 50, followed by their ' Pessimist' EP, a live recording of part of their set from Reading Festival 2004, which entered the BBC's Official Rock Chart at number 18. Both Single/EP were released independently through EX Records in conjunction with the Extreme Sports Channel.
