Secret Hideout
Secret Hideout is a film and television production company founded in 2014 by Alex Kurtzman. It is notable for the recent incarnations of the '' Star Trek'' franchise with Roddenberry Entertainment. History In 2014, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci announced that they would dissolve the partnership in motion pictures in order to focus solely on television. Later that year, the company signed a three-year production deal with Universal Pictures to produce its feature films. Secret Hideout's first film was '' The Mummy''. They hired Jeb Brody, who was formerly an employee of Focus Features, and Bobby Cohen, who was a former K/O Paper Products staffer, to join the company, along with Kim Rosen, who served as head of digital and interactive. K/O Paper Products (also known as Kurtzman/Orci Paper Products) was an American television and motion picture production company founded by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci c. 2004, after signing a deal with DreamWorks Pictures to rewrite the script of the 2005 film '' The Island''. History Orci and Kurtzman began their writing collaboration on the television series ''Hercules: The Legendary Journeys'', after being hired by Sam Raimi. ''Star Trek: Short Treks'' is an American anthology television series created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman for the streaming service CBS All Access. Originating as a companion series to '' Star Trek: Discovery'', it consists of several shorts that use settings and characters from ''Discovery'' and other '' Star Trek'' series. The shorts are around 10 to 20 minutes long. After signing a deal to expand the ''Star Trek'' franchise on television, Kurtzman announced ''Short Treks'' as the first such project in July 2018.
