Seawind (band)
Seawind was an American jazz fusion band from Hawaii, consisting of its lead singer Pauline Wilson, guitarist Bud Nuañez, bassist Ken Wild, drummer Bob Wilson, keyboardist, flutist and saxophonist Larry Williams, saxophone and flute player Kim Hutchcroft, and trumpeter Jerry Hey. Seawind recorded two albums for CTI Records, one for Horizon Records and one for A&M Records. Seawind achieved a Grammy nomination in the category Best Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) in 1978 for the song The Devil Is a Liar. Kamasami Kong
Kamasami Kong (real name Robert W. Zix, born December 21, 1949 in Hamilton, Ohio) is an American disc jockey living in Tokyo. He has been active in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, as well as previsously in Hawaii with the radio program "The Kamasami Kong Show" on Hawaii Public Radio, KKUA and KUBT, KIKI. Biography Kong began his radio career in 1965 with the radio station WMOH. He moved to Hawaii in the late 1970s, becoming a household name in the throughout 1970s and ‘80s as Hawaii’s premiere DJ. Kong became the most listened to broadcaster on KIKI-FM while working alongside Michael W. Perry on KHNR, KKUA. Jerry Hey (born 1950) is an American trumpeter, flugelhornist, horn arranger, string arranger, orchestrator and session musician who has played on hundreds of commercial recordings, including Michael Jackson's '' Thriller'', ''Rock with You'', '' Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough, Workin’ Day and Night'' and the flugelhorn solo on Dan Fogelberg's hit "''Longer''". ''Thriller'' is the sixth studio album by the American singer and songwriter Michael Jackson, released on November 29, 1982, by Epic Records. It was produced by Quincy Jones, who had previously worked with Jackson on his 1979 album ''Off the Wall''. Jackson wanted to create an album where "every song was a killer". With the ongoing backlash against disco music at the time, he moved in a new musical direction, resulting in a mix of pop, post-disco, rock, funk, and R&B sounds. is a Filipina jazz vocalist from Manila, Philippines mainly active in Japan. Her real name has been cited as Marlene dela Peña or Marlene Pena Lim. Marlene moved to Japan in the late 1970s and released her first single through EMI Japan in 1979 before signing a contract with CBS Sony in 1981, recording albums twice a year. In 1983 two of her albums appeared on the Oricon charts. John Entwistle
John Alec Entwistle (9 October 194427 June 2002) was an English musician who was the bassist for the rock band The Who. Entwistle's music career spanned over four decades. Nicknamed "The Ox" and "Thunderfingers", he was the band's only member with formal musical training and also provided backing and occasional lead vocals. Entwistle was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Who in 1990.
