Great Northwest Athletic Conference
The Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. It has historically operated in the northwestern United States, but also includes schools in Alaska, Montana, and British Columbia. The GNAC is the only NCAA conference in any division with a Canadian university as a member. The 1983 NCAA Division II Soccer Championship was the 12th annual tournament held by the NCAA to determine the top men's Division II college soccer program in the United States. Seattle Pacific defeated Tampa in the final, 1–0, to win their second Division II national title. The Falcons (16-4-1), who previously won in 1978, were coached by Cliff McCrath. The final match was played on December 2 at Pepin-Rood Stadium on the campus of the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida. NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship
The NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship is an American intercollegiate college soccer tournament conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to determine the Division II women's national champion. The Division II Championship has been held annually since 1988. It was the third of the NCAA-sponsored women's soccer tournaments to be established; the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship began in 1981 and the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship in 1986. Western Washington are the current champions. The Vikings won their second national title in 2022, defeating West Chester in the final, 2–1. The Southern Connecticut Owls (also Southern Connecticut State Owls and SCSU Owls) are the athletic teams that represent Southern Connecticut State University, located in New Haven, Connecticut, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Owls' 17 athletic teams, seven for men and 10 for women, compete as members of either the Northeast-10 Conference or the Eastern College Athletic Conference. The FIU Panthers men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Florida International University. As of the upcoming 2022 season, the team is a member of the NCAA Division I American Athletic Conference (The American). History FIU started their soccer program in 1972. The Tampa Spartans are the athletic teams that represent the University of Tampa, located in Tampa, Florida, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports.
