The Seattle Sea Dragons (formerly known as the Seattle Dragons) are a professional American football team based in Seattle, Washington. The team is a franchise of the new XFL (2020), XFL and plays its home games at Lumen Field in Seattle. Originally founded by Vince McMahon's Alpha Entertainment, the franchise was acquired by Alpha Acquico, LLC, a consortium led by actor and former WWE star Dwayne Johnson and longtime business partner Dany Garcia, in August 2020 following Alpha Entertainment's bankruptcy sell-off of the league. XFL (2020)
The XFL is a professional American football minor league consisting of eight teams located across the United States in mid-sized to major markets served by at least one other major professional sports team. Seasons run from February to April, with each team playing a ten-game regular season, and four progressing to the playoffs to crown a season champion. It is headquartered in Arlington, Texas. The league was founded by former WWE executive Vince McMahon in 2018, as a reboot and successor to the XFL (2001), league of the same name he founded in 2001. The Seattle Seahawks are a professional American football team based in Seattle. The Seahawks compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) West, which they rejoined in 2002 as part of a conference realignment. Ty Knott (born December 9, 1965) is an American football Wide receivers coach and Special teams coordinator for the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL. Early life Knott was born on December 9, 1965 in Los Angeles, California. He attended the Oregon Institute of Technology where he played as a defensive back. June Sheldon Jones III (born February 19, 1953) is an American football coach and former player who is currently the Offensive Coordinator of the Seattle Sea Dragons.
