Sean Michael Maurice Taylor (April 1, 1983 – November 27, 2007) was an American football safety for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected fifth overall in the 2004 NFL Draft by the Redskins, where he played four seasons until his murder in 2007. As a high school player, Taylor led Gulliver Prep to a Florida state championship and set the state record for single-season touchdowns. Taylor played college football at Miami, where he was a member of the 2001 BCS National Championship team and won the Jack Tatum Trophy. With the Redskins, he gained a reputation as a hard-hitting player and was nicknamed "Meast" from the expression "half man, half beast." He made one Pro Bowl appearance in 2006. During the 2007 season, Taylor was shot by intruders at his Miami area home and died the next day on November 27. Sean Taylor is a British author of children's books. He was born in 1965 and grew up in Surrey, England, he taught in Zimbabwe before studying at Cambridge. He currently divides his time between the United Kingdom and Brazil, where his wife is from. Career Taylor has written more than 50 children's books. His best known picture books include '' Hoot Owl, Master of Disguise'' (illustrated by Jean Jullien), '' When a Monster is Born'' (illustrated by Nick Sharratt), ''A Brave Bear'' (illustrated by Emily Hughes), and ''Huck Runs Amuck!'' Sean Taylor (born May 2, 1968) is an American comic book and short story writer, perhaps best known for his run on ''Gene Simmons Dominatrix'' published by IDW Publishing. Biography Taylor grew up and lived all his life in the state of Georgia, U.S.A, and he has applied that sense of Southern 'magical realism' to his writing. He began writing creating articles for trade magazines and stringing for his local paper ''The Alpharetta Revue''. Cyber Age Adventures In 1999, Taylor got a job as the first staff writer for the online zine ''Cyber Age Adventures''. Shaun Taylor (born 26 February 1963) is an English former professional footballer who made more than 500 appearances in the Football League and Premier League, playing for Exeter City, Swindon Town and Bristol City. Taylor was born in Plymouth. A hard-tackling no-nonsense defender, he played non-league football for clubs including Holsworthy FC, St Blazey and Bideford before moving to Exeter City in December 1986 at the age of 23. He captained Exeter to the Fourth Division championship in 1989–90, and played 200 league games for the club before moving to Swindon Town in July 1991 for a £200,000 fee.
