Sean Stellato
Sean P. Stellato (born April 12, 1978) is an American Sports Agent, sports agent, motivational speaker, and author. Athletics Stellato attended Salem High School, where he played on the football and basketball teams. At the Gunnery Prep School, he was named MVP in football and basketball and was named All-New England in both sports. At Marist College, Stellato played receiver on the football team. Football career Stellato played two seasons in the AF2 (AF2), signing his first contract with the Florida Firecats in 2002. He also played with the Louisville Fire and the Memphis Xplorers. He went to Mini Camp with the New York Dragons. He coached defensive backs for the Ipswich High School Tigers during the 2003 season. Stellato also coached at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School as a quarterbacks coach in 2004. He became a member of the St. John's Prep football coaching staff in 2006. The New York Dragons were a professional arena football team based in the New York metropolitan area. The Dragons participated in the Arena Football League's (AFL) National Conference as a member of the Eastern Division. The team was founded in as the original iteration of the Iowa Barnstormers, and relocated to New York in . They played in New York until 2008, when the league folded. National Italian American Sports Hall Of Fame
The National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit institution honoring exceptional U.S. athletes of Italian descent. In 1977 George Randazzo created the Italian American Boxing Hall of Fame. This was as a means for raising money for local Catholic youth programs. After a successful year and dinner honoring 23 former Italian American boxing champions, Randazzo created the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame. The original location was in Elmwood Park, Illinois. The first induction ceremony honored Lou Ambers, Eddie Arcaro, Charley Trippi, Gino Marchetti, Dom DiMaggio, Joe DiMaggio, and Vince Lombardi. Memphis Xplorers
The Memphis Xplorers were a professional arena football team. They were a 2001 expansion member of the af2. They played their home games at DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi (a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee). The team's logo featured the likeness of the namesake of both the venue and the team, Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto. On October 11, 2006, the team announced that they would not return for the 2007 season. In October 2007, local teacher Patrick Smith and a partner purchased the Memphis Xplorers for $100,000. There were plans to bring the team back for the 2009 season, with the possibility of the team's name being changed to the Midsouth Mafia. These plans never came to fruition.
