Shaun Christopher O'Shea Rogers (born March 12, 1979) is a former American football defensive tackle. He played college football for the University of Texas. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the 2nd round (61st overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft. Rogers has also played for the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). Running back Adrian Peterson considered Rogers one of the hardest-hitting players in the NFL. Early years At La Porte High School in La Porte, Texas, Rogers was a two-way tackle, and also lettered in basketball. He is known for his athleticism, ability to rush the quarterback, and also his ability to stop the run. He was also known to play running back near the goal line. He had 17 attempts for 135 yards.
