Sean Reynolds (Emmerdale)
Sean Reynolds is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'', played by Stephen McGann. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 10 March 1999. Casting McGann joined the cast of ''Emmerdale'' as Sean, the patriarch of the Reynolds family, in February 1999. The role of Sean marked McGann's return to television following an absence of several years. The actor revealed he had some initial reservations about joining ''Emmerdale'', but as soon as he arrived on set they did not last long. McGann said "Within minutes of arriving I felt I knew what I was doing here and I was enjoying it. There's good and bad in every genre, whether it's films, television or theatre, but I have to say I think I've picked a good soap." Stephen McGann
Stephen Vincent McGann (born 2 February 1963) is a British actor, best known for portraying Dr Patrick Turner in the BBC One medical period drama series ''Call the Midwife''. He is one of a family of acting brothers, the others being Joe, Paul, and Mark. McGann was born in Kensington, Liverpool, and began his professional acting career in 1982, starring in the West End musical ''Yakety Yak''. He has since worked extensively in British theatre and on screen. Early life Stephen's father Joe was a Royal Naval Commando who died in 1984, and his mother Clare was a teacher. Thomas Crosbie Holdings (TCH) was a family-owned media and publishing group based in Cork, Ireland. Its largest publication was once the ''Irish Examiner'', the third largest daily broadsheet newspaper in the Republic of Ireland.
