Sean Pollock
Sean Pollock (born July 7, 1982 in Wallaceburg, Ontario Canada) is a retired lacrosse player. Pollock played 12 seasons in the National Lacrosse League, much of it with the Minnesota Swarm. Professional career Sean Pollock was drafted in the 2002 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft by the Columbus Landsharks (Later the Arizona Sting), 40th overall in the 4th round. Pollock didn't see any NLL action until the 2004 season where he made five appearances for the Arizona Sting recording three points. The following season Pollock was drafted by the Minnesota Swarm in the 2005 National lacrosse league expansion draft and was signed to a one-year contract with the Swarm. Pollock spent the next seven seasons with the Swarm starting almost every game with the Swarm and broke the goal, assist and points records for the Swarm which lasted until 2012. Calgary Roughnecks
The Calgary Roughnecks are a professional box lacrosse team based in Calgary, Alberta. They are members of the Western Division of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and play their home games on WestJet Field at Scotiabank Saddledome. The team name is derived from the roughnecks who work drilling rigs in Alberta's oil and gas industry. The team is affectionately known by fans as the ''Riggers''. The Roughnecks were founded in 2001, their first season was 2002, and they have qualified for the post-season every year from 2003 to 2016. They have won three division championships (2005, 2009, 2011) and have captured the NLL Cup as NLL champions three times. The Boston Blazers were an indoor lacrosse team in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The Blazers were based in Boston, Massachusetts, and began play in the 2009 NLL season. The team was owned by Tim Armstrong, the former President of Advertising and Commerce for Google. who is currently CEO of AOL. 2004 NLL Season
The 2004 National Lacrosse League season is the 18th season in the NLL that began on December 26, 2003, with the Arizona Sting hosting the Vancouver Ravens. That game was the Sting's first-ever game and the first event held in the new Glendale Arena (now Gila River Arena) in Glendale, Arizona. The season concluded with the championship game on May 7, 2004. Over 19,000 fans, the second largest crowd ever at an NLL game, packed the Pengrowth Saddledome (now Scotiabank Saddledome) to watch the Calgary Roughnecks defeat the Buffalo Bandits 14–11.
