Seán Ó Súilleabháin
Seán Ó Súilleabháin (30 November 1903 – 13 December 1996) was a teacher and folklorist with the Irish Folklore Commission. He was a native Irish speaker from County Kerry. Educated at St. Brendan's, College, Killarney, he trained from 1921 to 23 as a national school teacher De La Salle College Waterford. Working as a teacher in Kilkenny and Mount Sion, Waterford. He took an external BA in Celtic Studies from University College London in 1934, followed by an MA. In 1935 he became the first archivist with the Irish Folklore Commission which had been set up, and trained at the Uppsala University in Sweden. Following the closure of the commission, he worked as a lecturer in University College Dublin. He was awarded an honorary DLittCelt from the National University of Ireland in 1976. Sean Daniel O'Sullivan (born September 1, 1987) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Kansas City Royals, San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Phillies, and Boston Red Sox and in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) for the Nexen Heroes. Amateur & college career O'Sullivan played baseball for Valhalla High School (El Cajon, California), near San Diego. In 2004, he went 11–1, with his only loss to El Capitan High School (in Lakeside, California) in the finals of the California Interscholastic Federation San Diego Section championship. He claimed the East County Californian Pitcher of the Year and Player of the Year awards that season. O'Sullivan played college baseball for the Grossmont College Griffins, near his hometown. Seán O'Sullivan is an Irish sportsman who played Gaelic football for the Kerry senior football team and at club level with Cromane GAA club. Playing career Underage O'Sullivan played with the Kerry minor team in 1998. Wins over Waterford after a re-play and Limerick seen him win a Munster Minor Football Championship medal. O'Sullivan and co lost out to Laois in the All-Ireland semi-final. Senior O'Sullivan won his first All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in 2006, after a comprehensive victory over Mayo side in the final on 17 September 2006, in Croke Park. Seán O'Sullivan (painter)
Seán O'Sullivan (20 June 1906 – 3 May 1964) was an Irish painter and designer known for his portraits and stamp designs. Early life and family O'Sullivan was educated at Synge Street CBS in Dublin and went on to study drawing at the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art where he won a scholarship and studied lithography at the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London. He also studied painting in Paris at Colarossi's and La Grande Chaumiere. O'Sullivan married Renée Mouw, who was also a painter. They had two daughters, Julian O'Sullivan and Terry Myler. Myler is a book illustrator. Career He began exhibiting at the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) in 1926, at the age of 20, contributing an average of six paintings a year until his death. Sean Patrick Paul O'Sullivan, CM (January 1, 1952 – March 9, 1989) was a Canadian politician who left politics and became a Roman Catholic priest. Born in 1952 in Hamilton, Ontario, O'Sullivan showed an interest in politics at a young age: when he was 11 years old he worked for Ellen Fairclough in her election campaign and met John Diefenbaker for the first time. He was educated at Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School and Brock University in St. Catharines. When he was just 15 years old he was named Western Ontario representative of the Youth for Diefenbaker movement. This movement was formed in Ottawa to engage support of Canada's young conservatives for John Diefenbaker at the leadership convention. Sean O'Sullivan (born 29 April 1994) is an English professional snooker player. Career O'Sullivan turned professional in 2012 after qualifying via Event 2 of the Q School and gained a two-year tour card for the 2012–13 and 2013–14 snooker seasons.
