Sean Gallagher (actor)
Sean Gallagher (born September 2, 1965) is a British actor, best known for his role of Paul Connor in ''Coronation Street''. Career Gallagher appeared in ''EastEnders'' from 1992 to 1993 as a playboy called Clive who had an affair with then-married Sam Mitchell. In 1997 Gallagher played the role of Alan in the BAFTA-winning BBC series " Holding On" by Tony Marchant. In 2006 he played the part of Chip in the second new series of ''Doctor Who'' opposite David Tennant in the episode " New Earth". In 2006, Gallagher signed up to ''Coronation Street'' to play the part of Paul Connor, one of two brothers buying a share in Underworld, the local knicker factory. In early 2007, Gallagher resigned from the Manchester-based ITV programme to pursue other roles, eventually leaving ''Coronation Street'' in June 2007. Sean Patrick Gallagher (born December 30, 1985) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Professional career Chicago Cubs Gallagher was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 12th round of the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft. In his first pro season, he went 1–2 with a 3.12 ERA over 10 games in with the Arizona League Cubs. Gallagher allowed 19 runs, 12 earned, on 38 hits in 34 innings, striking out 44 and walking 11. In 2005 Gallagher was selected as the Cubs minor league pitcher of the year. He played for the Peoria Chiefs and made the Midwest League All-Star Game and was voted by Baseball America as having the best breaking ball in the Midwest League. Seán Gallagher
Seán Gallagher (born 7 July 1962) is an Irish businessman and former reality television personality. He was a co-founder in 2000 of Smarthomes, which after initial success, failed in 2008–2010, and Gallagher departed in 2010–11. He was a panellist on RTÉ's ''Dragons' Den'' from 2009 to 2011. Gallagher was an active member of Fianna Fáil for 30 years, from 1981 to 2011, and sat on its National Executive twice (from 1985 to 1987, and from 2009 to 2011). He spent much of his career before Smarthomes working in Fianna Fáil, and in the Irish public service. Gallagher ran as an independent candidate in the 2011 presidential election, finishing second to Michael D. Higgins. He ran again in the 2018 presidential election, finishing third. CLG Chloich Cheann Fhaola is a Gaelic football and handball club for the parish of Cloughaneely, County Donegal, Ireland. The club is based in Falcarragh. It also covers the area to the village of Gortahork, as well as Meenlaragh and Magheroarty. The club fields both men's and ladies' teams from underage as far as senior level. The club has a rivalry with St Michael's. Its honorary president, Fr Seán Ó Gallchóir, is a statistician who compiled ''The Book of Donegal GAA Facts''. Shaun Gallagher is an American philosopher known for his work on embodied cognition, social cognition, agency and the philosophy of psychopathology. Since 2011 he has held the Lillian and Morrie Moss Chair of Excellence in Philosophy at the University of Memphis and was awarded the Anneliese Maier Research Award by the Humboldt Foundation (2012–2018). Since 2014 he has been Professorial Fellow at the University of Wollongong in Australia. He has held visiting positions at Keble College, Oxford; Humboldt University, Berlin; Ruhr Universität, Bochum; Husserl Archives, ENS (Paris); École Normale Supérieure, Lyon; University of Copenhagen; and the Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, Cambridge University.
