Sean Cattouse
Sean Cattouse (born October 4, 1988) is a former American football free safety. He played college football at the University of California, Berkeley and attended Hubbard High School in Chicago, Illinois. He was also a member of the San Diego Chargers and Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). Professional career Cattouse was signed by the NFL's San Diego Chargers on April 30, 2012, after going undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft. He made his NFL debut on December 30, 2012, against the Oakland Raiders. He was released by the Chargers on August 30, 2013. Cattouse spent the 2013 season with the Chicago Bears of the NFL. He was released by the Bears on June 19, 2014. Free Safety
Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field. While American (11-player) formations generally use two safeties, Canadian (12-player) formations generally have one safety and two defensive halfbacks, a position not used in the American game. As professional and college football have become more focused on the passing game, safeties have become more involved in covering the eligible pass receivers. 2012 NFL Draft
The 2012 NFL draft was the 77th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible American football players for their rosters. The draft, which is officially called the "NFL Player Selection Meeting", was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City from April 26 to April 28, 2012. There were 253 draft selections: 221 regular selections and 32 compensatory selections. Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders were a professional American football team that played in Oakland from its founding in 1960 to 1981 and again from 1995 to 2019 before relocating to the Las Vegas metropolitan area where they now play as the Las Vegas Raiders.
