Sean-Michael Stephen
Sean-Michael Stephen (born 27 October 1982) is a Canadian rugby union player. From 2006 to 2008, Stephen played for France, French club AS Béziers Hérault. Since 2008, he has played for and currently Captain (sports), captains Plymouth Albion R.F.C., Plymouth Albion in the RFU Championship, Aviva Championship. Stephen made his Canada national rugby union team, Canadian national team debut against the United States national rugby union team, United States in 2005. He played for Canada at the 2007 Rugby World Cup. The 2007 Rugby World Cup was the sixth Rugby World Cup, a quadrennial international rugby union competition inaugurated in 1987. Twenty nations competed for the Webb Ellis Cup in the tournament, which was hosted by France from 7 September to 20 October. France won the hosting rights in 2003, beating a bid from England. In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23.
