Scott Leva (born May 29, 1958) is a stuntman and stunt coordinator who began his career as a gymnast and entered stuntwork in the 1970s. Biography Spider-Man In 1985, Scott was tapped by Cannon Films & Joseph Zito (who was the 2nd director to replace Tobe Hooper as being the first director attached for Spider-Man) to play Spider-Man in their adaptation of the comics, He was also the actor on the first photographic cover of a ''Spider-Man'' comic book, appearing as Peter Parker, half-way in costume, on ''The Amazing Spider-Man'', #262 (cover date March 1985). He can be seen in costume as Spider-Man, on the blooper reel for the 2000 film ''X-Men'', on which he served as a stunt-coordinator. Stunt Coordinator
A stunt coordinator, usually an experienced stunt performer, is hired by a TV, film or theatre director or production company for stunt casting. Their job is to arrange the casting (stunt players and stunt doubles) and performance of stunts for a film, television programme or a live audience. Where the film requires a stunt, and involves the use of stunt performers, the stunt coordinator will arrange the casting and performance of the stunt, working closely with the director. In many cases, the stunt coordinator budgets, designs and choreographs the stunt sequence to suit the script and the director's vision.
