Scott Klingenbeck
Scott Edward Klingenbeck (born February 3, 1971) is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher who played in parts of four seasons with the Baltimore Orioles, Minnesota Twins, and Cincinnati Reds. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Klingenbeck graduated from Oak Hills High School in 1989, and attended Allegany College of Maryland and Ohio State University. In 1991, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Chatham A's of the Cape Cod Baseball League. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the pitcher is assigned the number 1. The Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL or Cape League) is a collegiate summer baseball wooden bat league located on Cape Cod in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. One of the nation's premier collegiate summer leagues, the league boasts over one thousand former players who have gone on to play in the major leagues.
