Scott John David Kay (born 18 September 1989) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays for Trafford F.C. . Career Kay, a lifelong Manchester City fan, started career coming through the Manchester City youth system, failing to make an appearance for the first team. Macclesfield Town He signed for Football League Two side Macclesfield Town on 25 June 2011 on a free transfer after being released by City. He made his professional debut on 6 August 2011, in the opening day defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge at Moss Rose. In May 2012, Kay was released by Macclesfield due to the expiry of his contract. Denton is a town in Tameside, Greater Manchester, England, five miles (8 km) east of Manchester city centre. Historically part of Lancashire, it had a population of 36,591 at the 2011 Census. History Toponymy Denton probably derives its name from Dane-town, an etymology supported by other place names in the area such as Danehead-bank and Daneditch-bourne. The word 'Dane' is itself derived from Anglo-Saxon ''denu'', ''dene'', ''daenland'', meaning a valley. So literally Denton means valley town. Prehistory A Byzantine coin was discovered in Danesheadbank, dating from the sixth or seventh century, as part of the Denton coin hoard. Moss Rose, known as The Leasing.com Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England, which is the home ground of Macclesfield F.C., and the former home of Macclesfield Town F.C., Macclesfield Town, a club wound up in September 2020. Steven Frederick Eyre (born 9 May 1972) is an English football manager who was formerly assistant manager at Doncaster Rovers. Born in Salford, his father is ex-player and radio pundit Fred Eyre. Playing career Eyre played for several non-League clubs in the northwest of England, including Chorley. Dagenham () is a town in East London, England, within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Dagenham is centred east of Charing Cross. It was historically a rural parish in the Becontree Hundred of Essex, stretching from Hainault Forest in the north to the River Thames in the south. Dagenham remained mostly undeveloped until 1921, when the London County Council began construction of the large Becontree housing estate.
