Scott Johnson (composer)
Scott Richard Johnson (May 12, 1952 – March 24, 2023) was an American composer known for his pioneering use of recorded speech as musical melody, and his distinctive crossing of American vernacular and art music traditions, making extensive use of electric guitar in concert works, and adapting popular music structures for art music genres such as the string quartet. He was the recipient of a 2006 Guggenheim fellowship, and a 2015 American Academy of Arts and Letters Award. Gin Blossoms
Gin Blossoms is an American alternative rock band formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona, Tempe, Arizona. They rose to prominence following the 1992 release of their first major label album, ''New Miserable Experience'', and the first single released from that album, "Hey Jealousy". "Hey Jealousy" became a Top 25 hit and went gold, and ''New Miserable Experience'' eventually went quadruple platinum; four other charting singles were released from the album. Radiohead Stage Collapse
On 16 June 2012, the stage collapsed during the setup for a concert by the English rock band Radiohead in Downsview Park in Toronto, Canada. A drum technician, Scott Johnson, was killed and three other members of Radiohead's road crew were injured. Radiohead and other recording artists offered tributes and condolences. In June 2013, Live Nation Canada Inc, two other organisations and an engineer were charged with 13 charges under Ontario health and safety laws. The hearing began in June 2015, but a mistrial was declared after the judge was appointed to Ontario Superior Court and lost jurisdiction. The case was dropped in September 2017 under the Jordan ruling, which puts time limits on cases. Radiohead condemned the decision. Scott Johnson (born 19 August 1962 in Sydney), is an Australian rugby union coach, who was the interim head coach for Scotland in 2013 and early 2014 before serving as a Director of Rugby for Scotland between 2014 and 2019 before returning to Australia in the same role between 2019 and 2021. Scott Philip Johnson (born 12 July 1961) is a retired American artistic gymnast. He represented the United States at the 1984 Summer Olympics and at the 1988 Summer Olympics.
