Scott Frost
Scott Andrew Frost (born January 4, 1975) is a former American football coach and player. He was the head football coach at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln from 2018 to 2022. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Frost played college football as a quarterback for the Stanford Cardinal and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the latter of which he led to a shared national championship in 1997. He played six years in the NFL, mostly on special teams. After retiring as a player, Frost served as an assistant coach for a number of college football teams, most notably as the offensive coordinator for the Oregon Ducks from 2013 to 2015, where he helped coach Heisman trophy-winner Marcus Mariota and the 2014 Oregon Ducks to a berth in the first college football playoff, where they lost to Ohio State in the national championship game. In gridiron football, a sack occurs when the quarterback (or another offensive player acting as a passer) is tackled behind the line of scrimmage before throwing a forward pass, when the quarterback is tackled behind the line of scrimmage in the " pocket" and without clear intent, or when a passer runs out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage due to defensive pressure.
