Scott Forbes (footballer)
Scott Forbes (born 22 October 1976) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. He played in the Football League with Southend United, before dropping into non-League football. Playing career Forbes started his career with Essex Senior League side Saffron Walden Town, before joining Southend United in 2000. He spent the pre-season on trial with Canvey Island before joining Southend. Forbes made his debut for Southend, replacing Scott Houghton as a substitute in the 73rd minute in a Third Division match against Brighton & Hove Albion in the 2–1 win on 12 August 2000 at Roots Hall. His first goal for Southend United was on 4 November, when they defeated Macclesfield Town 3–1 at home in the Third Division. Forbes scored in injury time with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Canewdon
Canewdon is a village and civil parish in the Rochford district of Essex, England. The village is located approximately northeast of the town of Rochford, while the parish extends for several miles on the southern side of the River Crouch. Canewdon is situated on one of the highest hills of the Essex coastline, from which St Nicholas's Church affords wide views of the Crouch estuary. __NOTOC__ Takeley is a village and civil parish in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England. History A number of theories have arisen over the origin of the village's name. One believes the village's name was a corruption from the "Teg-Ley" of sheep clearing. Another theory is that Takeley is derived from the Saxon lord Taecca, who owned land in Essex and Oxfordshire, the latter of which has a village named Tackley. In more recent times, Takeley is thought to have derived from "settlement next to open forest" in reference to the Forest of Essex. Brian Statham (born 21 May 1969) is an English retired professional footballer who made over 160 appearances in the Football League for Brentford as a right back. He also played league football for Tottenham Hotspur, Gillingham, Reading, Bournemouth and was capped by England at U21 level. In human anatomy, a hamstring () is any one of the three posterior thigh muscles in between the hip and the knee (from medial to lateral: semimembranosus, semitendinosus and biceps femoris).
