Scott Edgar (basketball)
Scott William Edgar (born December 14, 1955) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the men's basketball head coach at Eastern Oklahoma State College. He was formerly head coach at Duquesne University, Murray State University and Southeast Missouri State University. Early life and education Edgar graduated from Penn Hills High School in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. At the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Edgar played basketball and baseball. He graduated from Pittsburgh–Johnstown in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in sociology. Coaching career Edgar first coached at New Mexico Military Institute in 1978. Nolan Richardson hired him as one of his first assistants at the University of Tulsa in 1980, his first position in Division I. Edgar followed Richardson to Arkansas in 1985 and continued as Richardson's assistant until getting his first head coaching position at Murray State in 1991. 1992 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 1992 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Basketball Tournament was the final event of the 1991–92 season in the Ohio Valley Conference. The tournament was held March 6-8, 1992 at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. Murray State defeated in the championship game, 81–60, to win their third consecutive and sixth overall OVC men's basketball tournament. The Racers received an automatic bid to the 1992 NCAA Tournament as the #13 seed in the Midwest region. Format Seven of the eight conference members participated in the tournament field. They were seeded based on regular season conference records, with the top seed (Murray State) receiving a bye to the semifinal round. Billy Tubbs
Billy Duane Tubbs (March 5, 1935 – November 1, 2020) was an American men's college basketball coach. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native was the head coach of his alma mater Lamar University (1976–1980, 2003–2006), the University of Oklahoma (1980–1994) and Texas Christian University (1994–2002). His first head coaching job — from 1971-72 through 1972-73 — was at Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas, where his teams were 12–16 and 19–8. From there he went to the University of North Texas to serve as assistant coach under Gene Robbins and for one year under Bill Blakeley. Tubbs was known for his high scoring offense and full-court press defense. Tubbs achieved many coaching milestones during his coaching career. The TCU Horned Frogs men's basketball team represents Texas Christian University, located in Fort Worth, Texas, in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. The Duquesne Dukes are the athletic teams of Duquesne University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Nolan Richardson
Nolan Richardson Jr. (born December 27, 1941) is a former American basketball head coach best known for his tenure at the University of Arkansas, where he won the 1994 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament and led the Razorbacks to three Final Fours. Elected to the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008 and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014, Richardson coached teams to winning a Division I Basketball National Championship, an NIT championship, and a Junior College National Championship, making him the only coach to win all three championships. Penn Hills High School
Penn Hills High School is a public secondary school located in Penn Hills, east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It is the sole high school operated by the Penn Hills School District. In the 2018–19 school year, enrollment was reported as 1,186 pupils in 9th through 12th grades. Building The new $58 million Penn Hills High School building was opened on January 3, 2013. Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) is a public university in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
