Scott Borthwick
Scott George Borthwick (born 19 April 1990) is an English cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and leg-break bowler who captains Durham. He was born in Sunderland. Borthwick played in the North East Premier League for Philadelphia during the 2005 campaign, and played sporadic matches for Durham's Second XI in 2006. Borthwick played for Durham Academy in the North East Premier League 2007 and 2008 competitions. He also represented Tynemouth Cricket Club, as their Durham contract player for the 2009 season, with his performances safeguarding them from relegation. Borthwick made his Twenty20 debut for Durham against Lancashire, and despite not batting, he bowled four overs, taking 3–23. In May 2009 Borthwick took two catches while fielding as substitute for England in the second Test against the West Indies at the Riverside Ground. Sunderland, Tyne And Wear
Sunderland () is a port city in Tyne and Wear, England. It is the City of Sunderland's administrative centre and in the historic county of Durham. The city is from Newcastle-upon-Tyne and is on the River Wear's mouth to the North Sea. The river also flows through Durham roughly south-west of Sunderland City Centre. David Borthwick (born 2 February 1963) is a former English cricketer. Borthwick was a right-handed batsman who fielded as a wicket-keeper. He was born in Sunderland, County Durham. Borthwick made his debut for Northumberland in the 1994 MCCA Knockout Trophy against the Cheshire. Borthwick played Minor counties cricket for Northumberland from 1994 to 1996, which included 25 Minor Counties Championship matches and 4 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. He made his only List A appearance against Nottinghamshire in the 1994 NatWest Trophy. In this match he was dismissed for a duck by Andy Pick. The Ashes
The Ashes is a Test cricket series played between England and Australia. The term originated in a satirical obituary published in a British newspaper, ''The Sporting Times'', immediately after Australia's 1882 victory at The Oval, its first Test win on English soil. The obituary stated that English cricket had died, and "the body will be cremated and the ashes taken to Australia". The mythical ashes immediately became associated with the 1882–83 series played in Australia, before which the English captain Ivo Bligh had vowed to "regain those ashes". The English media therefore dubbed the tour ''the quest to regain the Ashes''. Graeme Peter Swann (born 24 March 1979) is an English former cricketer who played all three formats of the game. Born in Northampton, he attended Sponne School in Towcester, Northamptonshire. Twenty20 International
A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs. The matches have top-class status and are the highest T20 standard. The game is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket. Starting from the format's inception in 2005, T20I status only applied to Full Members and some Associate Member teams. Christopher Rushworth (born 11 July 1986) is an English cricketer who plays for Warwickshire. Rushworth is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm fast-medium.
