Scorcher (comics)
The Scorcher is the name of two different fictional characters appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The first version, Steven Hudak, first appeared in '' Untold Tales of Spider-Man'' #1 (September 1995), and was created by Kurt Busiek and Pat Olliffe. The second version, Sarah Garza, first appeared in ''Secret Avengers'' vol. 2 #10 (October 2013), and was created by Ed Brisson and Luke Ross. Fictional character biography Steven Hudak Steven Hudak was a research chemist who was wrongfully accused of embezzlement by his employer. Swearing revenge, he created an armored suit containing flame-throwing equipment and takes the name of "The Scorcher" when he attacked his former place of employment. An American comic book is a thin periodical originating in the United States, on average 32 pages, containing comics. While the form originated in 1933, American comic books first gained popularity after the 1938 publication of ''Action Comics'', which included the debut of the superhero Superman. Razor Fist is the name of three fictional supervillains appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The original Razor Fist was killed off in the comic books many years ago. The next two characters to take the title were brothers. The current Razor Fist is the only surviving brother. Griffin (Johnny Horton) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is the father of Yo-Yo Rodriguez. Publication history Griffin first appeared in '' Amazing Adventures'' #15 (Nov. 1972) and was created by Steve Englehart and Tom Sutton. Living Laser
The Living Laser (Arthur Parks) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Don Heck, the character made his first appearance in '' The Avengers'' #34 (Nov. 1966). He would become a recurring enemy of Iron Man and plays a key role in the end of the "Iron Man: The Inevitable" miniseries. Arthur Parks started out as a scientist that invented small, wrist mounted lasers and used them for criminal pursuits. At one point he was a member of the Lethal Legion and at another point he was poised to take over the world due to his possession of the Serpent Crown, but is foiled by the Avengers. Dark Reign is a 2008 to 2009 comic book branding used by Marvel Comics. It deals with the aftermath of the "Secret Invasion" storyline, which leads to a shift of power in the Marvel Universe toward Norman Osborn. The title refers to Osborn's rise to national power and the ramifications thereof. The Skrulls are a fictional race of extraterrestrial shapeshifters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The Hood (Parker Robbins) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Brian K. Vaughan, and artists Kyle Hotz and Eric Powell, the character was introduced in his own self-titled limited series, which started with ''Hood'' #1 (July 2002). Robbins was originally a petty criminal, until an encounter with a Nisanti demon, which he defeated and robbed of its hood and boots, gaining superpowers in the process, such as levitation and invisibility. "Secret Invasion" is a comic book crossover storyline that ran through a self-titled eight-issue limited series and several tie-in books published by Marvel Comics from April through December 2008. She-Hulk (Jennifer "Jen" Walters) is a fictional Character (arts), character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist John Buscema, she first appeared in ''The Savage She-Hulk'' #1 (cover-dated February 1980 in comics, 1980). Walters is a lawyer who, after an injury, received an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin, Hulk, Bruce Banner, and acquired a milder version of his Hulk condition. "Avengers Disassembled" is a 2004 crossover storyline published by Marvel Comics involving the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Captain America, Spider-Man and Thor.
