Scooter Ward
Scooter Ward (born Ronald Ward Jr. on May 7, 1970) is an American musician who is best known as a founding member and lead singer of the rock band Cold. He has also performed occasional guitar duties both in the studio and live. Ward has been ranked in the Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists by ''Hit Parader'' (number 61). Career Grundig In 1986, Ward formed the band Grundig along with several other students; Sam McCandless, Jeremy Marshall, and Matt Loughran at Fletcher High School in Neptune Beach, Florida. The band played their first gig in 1990 at a club called the Spray. In 1992, the band released an eight-song EP called "Into Everything" and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Three and a half years later in 1995, Grundig broke up and Ward moved back to Jacksonville, where he, McCandless, Kelly Hayes, and Pat Lally formed the band Diablo. Neptune Beach, Florida
Neptune Beach is a beachfront city east of Jacksonville in Duval County, Florida, United States. When the majority of Duval County communities consolidated with Jacksonville in 1968, Neptune Beach, along with Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach and Baldwin remained quasi-independent. Like those other towns, it maintains its own municipal government but its residents vote in the Jacksonville mayoral election and are represented on the Jacksonville city council. ''Superfiction'' is the fifth album by American rock band Cold. It was released on July 19, 2011 in the US and in the UK. This is Cold's first album since their reunion and six years since their previous release. Two singles were released; "Wicked World" and "American Dream". Background While touring the band announced that at every show they would be recording their new song "Snowblind" and that the best performance would be included as a hidden track on the new album, this however turned out to be untrue as the retail versions only contain the original twelve songs proposed for the release. "The Crossroads" was originally titled "My Religion" during Cold's live shows before the album's release. ''The Things We Can't Stop'' is the sixth album by American rock band Cold. It was released on September 13, 2019 in the US through Napalm Records. The album was produced by Jeremy Parker, who produced the previous album. This is Cold's first album since 2011's ''Superfiction''. This is Cold's only album to include guitarist Nick Coyle and first to feature bassist Lindsay Manfredi and their first album not to include bass player Jeremy Marshall and the only album to not feature drummer Sam McCandless. Aaron Fulton was credited as the drummer. The first single "Shine" was released on June 27, 2019, along with an accompanying lyric video on the same date. ''A Different Kind of Pain'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Cold. It was released on August 30, 2005 in the US and September 12, 2005 in the UK and features the singles "Happens All the Time" and "A Different Kind of Pain". It has sold over 160,000 copies in the US and would be Cold's last album before their nearly three-year breakup beginning in 2006. The time of the album's recording and release marks a turbulent period for Cold with the band signing to a new record label, experiencing numerous lineup changes, and obtaining weakened commercial success. Frontman Scooter Ward's struggles with his sister's cancer as well as the fallout of the relationship with his fiancé during this time also provided lyrical inspiration.
