Schwyz Alps
The Schwyz Alps (german: Schwyzer Alpen) are a mountain range in Switzerland. They form part of the North-Eastern Swiss Alps and are bordered by the Glarus Alps to the east, the Appenzell Alps to the north-east, the Emmental Alps in the west, and the Uri Alps to the south-west. The Klausen Pass is the highest point between the Schwyz Alps and the Glarus Alps. The Schwyzer Alps extend beyond the boundaries of the canton of Schwyz, including parts of the cantons of Glarus, Luzern, Uri and Zug. The highest point in the Schwyzer Alps is the Glärnisch, at an elevation of , which actually lies within the canton of Glarus. Just south of the Glärnisch is the Bös Fulen, the highest point in the canton of Schwyz. Swisstopo
Swisstopo is the official name for the Swiss Federal Office of Topography (in German language, German: ''Bundesamt für Landestopografie''; French language, French: ''Office fédéral de topographie''; Italian language, Italian: ''Ufficio federale di topografia''; Romansh language, Romansh: ''Uffizi federal da topografia''), Switzerland's national mapping agency. Klausen Pass
Klausen Pass (German: ''Klausenpass''; elevation: ) is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps connecting Altdorf in the canton of Uri with Linthal in the canton of Glarus. Somewhat unusually, the boundary between the two cantons does not lie at the summit of the pass, but some down the slope towards Linthal, with the summit being in Uri. The Klausen Pass is crossed by a paved road, which has a length, between Altdorf and Linthal, of . The road approaches the summit from Altdorf via the Schächen Valley communities of Bürglen, Spiringen and Unterschächen, and descends to Linthal via the Urnerboden. The road is normally closed between October and May, due to the high snowfall on the pass. During the open period, a PostBus Switzerland service crosses the pass several times a day, connecting Fluelen station, on the Gotthard railway and Lake Lucerne, with Linthal station, the terminus of the railway line through Glarus. The Mutteristock is a mountain in the Schwyzer Alps, which rises 2294 meters above sea level. Ortstock
The Ortstock is a mountain in the Schwyzer Alps, located at an elevation of on the border between the cantons of Schwyz and Glarus. It overlooks Braunwald and Linthal on its east side, while the west side overlooks the high valley of Glattalp. There are no glaciers surrounding the Ortstock, although a few névés can be found on its northern side. The north and south faces are very steep but experienced hikers can reach the summit via a trail on its less steep western flank. Schächentaler Windgällen
The Schächentaler Windgällen is a mountain massif in the Schwyzer Alps, overlooking Unterschächen in the canton of Canton of Uri, Uri. The two named peaks are ''Höch Windgällen'' (2764 m) and ''Läged Windgällen'' (2572 m). The mountain massif lies between the valley of Muotathal (north) and Schächental (south). The Schächentaler Windgällen are located a few kilometres west of Klausen Pass. The normal route to the summit goes along the south-east ridge.
