Klaus Schwarzkopf
Klaus Schwarzkopf (18 December 1922, in Neuruppin – 21 June 1991, in Bochum) was a German actor. From 1971 until 1978 he starred in the Norddeutscher Rundfunk version of the popular television crime series ''Tatort''. He was also known as a respected stage actor and for being the German dubbing voice of Peter Falk as '' Columbo'' during the 1970s. Schwarzkopf was gay, but never admitted it. Schwarzkopf died in 1991 of AIDS. Wilhelm Exner Medal
The Wilhelm Exner Medal has been awarded by the Austrian Industry Association, (ÖGV), for excellence in research and science since 1921. The medal is dedicated to Wilhelm Exner (1840–1931), former president of the Association, who initialized the chamber of commerce in Austria, the Vienna Technical Museum and the World Exhibition in Vienna. Paul Schwarzkopf
Paul Schwarzkopf (13 April 1886 – 27 December 1970) was an Austrian inventor and industrialist. Schwarzkopf is also credited with pioneering powder metallurgy. Career After studying technical sciences in Prague (where he also became active with the Corps Austria, but later left) and Berlin, Schwarzkopf succeeded in inventing the drawn tungsten filament in 1911 in the Italian light bulb factory ''Lampada Zeta'' in Alpignano near Turin. This ductile thread was industrially manufactured in 1913 in a company founded by Schwarzkopf and his partner Karl Chvalov in Berlin. During World War I, Schwarzkopf first served in a Bohemian regiment, then went to the reserve officer school in Innsbruck in Tyrol, and then to the southern front. Otfried Cheong (formerly Otfried Schwarzkopf) is a German computational geometer working in South Korea at KAIST. He is known as one of the authors of the widely used computational geometry textbook ''Computational Geometry: Algorithms and Applications'' (with Mark de Berg, Marc van Kreveld, and Mark Overmars) and as the developer of Ipe, a vector graphics editor. Cheong completed his doctorate from the Free University of Berlin in 1992 under the supervision of Helmut Alt. He joined KAIST in 2005, after previously holding positions at Utrecht University, Pohang University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Eindhoven University of Technology. Norman Schwarzkopf Jr
Herbert Norman Schwarzkopf Jr. (; August 22, 1934 – December 27, 2012) was a United States Army general. While serving as the commander of United States Central Command, he led all Coalition of the Gulf War, coalition forces in the Gulf War. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Schwarzkopf grew up in the United States and later in Iran. He was accepted by the United States Military Academy and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant#United States, second lieutenant in the United States Army in 1956. Herbert Norman Schwarzkopf (; August 28, 1895 – November 25, 1958) was the first superintendent of the New Jersey State Police. He is best known for his involvement in the Lindbergh kidnapping case. Lilli Schwarzkopf (born 28 August 1983 in Novopokrovka, Kirghiz SSR) is a German heptathlete. Her first major global competition was the 2005 World Championships in Athletics, where she finished in 13th place. Hans Schwarzkopf (1874, Danzig – 12 February 1921, Berlin) was a German chemist, entrepreneur, and inventor. He was the founder of the Schwarzkopf haircare brand, now owned by the Henkel brand. Life Hans Schwarzkopf studied chemistry and in 1898 opened a "paint, drug and perfume shop" on Passauer Strasse in Berlin-Charlottenburg. A customer in the UK had seen a shampoo in powder form and wanted him to order it for her. Schwarzkopf put the customer off several times, until at some point she stopped requesting it. He then came up with the idea of developing such a product himself. After several years of development, Schwarzkopf launched a powdered shampoo in 1904.
