Eldorado ( , -) is a city in and the county seat of Schleicher County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,951 at the 2010 census. Eldorado is located on U.S. Highway 277 some north of Sonora and south of San Angelo, Texas. Geography Eldorado is located at (30.860746, −100.598329). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.6 km), all of it land.
