Theatrical scenery is that which is used as a setting for a theatrical production. Scenery may be just about anything, from a single chair to an elaborately re-created street, no matter how large or how small, whether the item was custom-made or is the genuine item, appropriated for theatrical use. History The history of theatrical scenery is as old as the theatre itself, and just as obtuse and tradition bound. What we tend to think of as 'traditional scenery', i.e. two-dimensional canvas-covered ' flats' painted to resemble a three-dimensional surface or vista, is a relatively recent innovation and a significant departure from the more ancient forms of theatrical expression, which tended to rely less on the actual representation of space senerial and more on the conveyance of action and mood. Mount Scenery
Mount Scenery is an active volcano in the Caribbean Netherlands. Its lava dome forms the summit of the Saba island stratovolcano. At an elevation of , it is the highest point in both the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and, since the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles on 10 October 2010, the highest point in the Netherlands proper. The Saba volcano is potentially dangerous; the latest eruption was in or around the year 1640 and included explosions and pyroclastic flows. On 2 September 2019, Mt. Scenery Nature Park was elevated to the status of national park. It has a hiking trail to its summit, which is one of Saba's biggest tourist attractions. Along the way up the mountain can be found all of the climate zones on Saba, including a cloud forest at the summit. Scenery (Ryo Fukui Album)
is a 1976 jazz album by Japanese pianist Ryo Fukui. It was Fukui's first release. Reception This album was virtually ignored in the United States, given that it was released at a time of reduced American interest in jazz. However, it was well appreciated by Japanese fans and critics alike. In the decades since ''Scenery''s release, the album has earned greater critical praise. Fukui's dexterity and self-taught style has earned him comparison to such piano greats as McCoy Tyner and Bill Evans. ''Scenery'' is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Emily King. It was released by ATO Records on February 1, 2019, making it her first on the label. Following 2015's '' The Switch'', King reunited with producer Jeremy Most to work on the album. ''Scenery'' peaked at number six on the US ''Billboard'' Heatseekers Albums. The song "Look at Me Now" gained a nomination for Best R&B Song and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical at the 2020 Grammy Awards. Composition ''Scenery'' is a pop, R&B, neo soul, dream pop, post-disco album with touches of gospel, jazz, and tropical music. King recorded the album in a studio build by her and Jeremy Most in a garage in the Catskill Mountains. The move from her urban life in New York City to the Catskills is reflected in the album's title, as King felt she needed a "change of scenery". ''Mirror Ball'' is the 21st studio album by Canadian musician Neil Young, and features members of American rock band Pearl Jam. It was released on August 7, 1995 through Reprise Records. The album has been certified gold by the RIAA in the United States. Recording The album's recording sessions took place in January 1995 and February 1995 at Bad Animals Studio in Seattle, Washington. The album was produced by Brendan O'Brien, who had previously worked on Pearl Jam's 1993 album, '' Vs.'', and 1994 album, '' Vitalogy''. Neil Young joined Pearl Jam in the studio in Seattle in January 1995, eleven days after performing with the band at an abortion-rights benefit in Washington, D.C. The album was recorded in four days' studio time (January 26, January 27, February 7, and February 10). Young took the approach of recording the songs live in the studio.
