Picrodendraceae is a family of flowering plants, consisting of 80 species in 24 genera.Stephens, P.F. (2001 onwards). Angiosperm Phylogeny Website. Its closest relatives are Phyllanthaceae. This family used to be known as the subfamily Oldfieldioideae of the Euphorbiaceae. Genus ( plural genera ) is a taxonomic rank used in the biological classification of extant taxon, living and fossil organisms as well as Virus classification#ICTV classification, viruses. Plants are predominantly photosynthetic eukaryotes of the kingdom Plantae.
