Sayed Shirzad (born 1 October 1994) is an Afghan cricketer. Shirzad is a right-handed batsman who bowls left-arm at a medium pace. Domestic career Shirzad represented Afghanistan Under-19s in the 2011 Under-19 World Cup Qualifier in Ireland. He made his Twenty20 debut for the Afghan Cheetahs in the Faysal Bank Twenty-20 Cup against Rawalpindi Rams. He wasn't required to bat in this match, while with the ball he bowled two wicket-less overs. He made his List A debut for Boost Region in the 2018 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament on 11 July 2018. He was the leading wicket-taker for Boost Region during the tournament, with twelve dismissals in six matches. The Afghan Cheetahs was a Twenty20 team established in 2011 from Afghanistan that played in Pakistan's domestic Faysal Bank Twenty-20 Cup in September/October 2011. Zimbabwean Cricket Team Against Afghanistan In The UAE In 2020–21
The Zimbabwe cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates in March 2021 to play two Test and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against Afghanistan. It was the first time the two teams had played a Test match against each other. The Afghanistan cricket team toured Bangladesh to play the Bangladesh cricket team in September 2019 in a one-off Test match. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the schedule for the tour in August 2019. Following the 2019 Cricket World Cup, where Afghanistan lost all of their matches, Rashid Khan was named as the new captain of the Afghanistan cricket team across all three formats. Khan was 20 years and 350 days old when he led the side in the one-off Test, becoming the youngest cricketer to captain a team in a Test match. Aftab Alam (born 30 November 1992) is an Afghan international cricketer. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the Afghanistan national cricket team in early 2010. The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup was the 12th Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament contested by men's national teams and organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The 2018 Asia Cup (also known as Unimoni Asia Cup for sponsorship reasons) was a One-Day International (ODI) cricket tournament that was held in the United Arab Emirates in September 2018. The Afghanistan cricket team toured India in June 2018 to play a one-off Test match against the India cricket team. It was Afghanistan's first Test since they were awarded Test status by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in June 2017. India won the match in two days by an innings and 262 runs.
