Sayed Ihsanuddin Taheri
Sayed Ihsanuddin Taheri, or Sayed Ihsan Taheri ( / ps, سید احسان الدین طاهری طاهری) (born in December 1984), is an Afghan civil activist, politician and independent author, writer and blogger who was a 2012 World Vision International PeaceMaker Prize nominee. He was an official of the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, who has held various positions since 2002. He is the elected member of FINA Media Committee. Taheri was working as Acting Deputy Minister for Administration and Director General Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Finance of Afghanistan until the collapse of the Republic in August 2021. He previously worked as Communications Director to the Afghan President at the Office of Public and Strategic Affairs of the Government of Afghanistan. Islamic Republic Of Afghanistan
The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was a presidential republic that ruled Afghanistan from 2004 to 2021. The state was established to replace the Afghan interim (2001–2002) and transitional (2002–2004) administrations, which were formed after the 2001 United States invasion of Afghanistan that had toppled the partially recognized Taliban-ruled Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. However, on 15 August 2021, the country was recaptured by the Taliban, which marked the end of the 2001–2021 war, the longest war in US history. This led to the overthrow of the Islamic Republic, led by President Ashraf Ghani, and the reinstatement of the Islamic Emirate under the control of the Taliban.
