''Say It Ain't So'' is the second studio album by Murray Head. It was released in 1975 on A&M Records. The album was produced by Paul Samwell-Smith, and the album features sleeve photography by Gered Mankowitz. History The explanation for the title track of the album, '' Say It Ain't So, Joe'', tells the story of baseball player Joe Jackson, along with other players of the Chicago White Sox team, following a game-fixing scandal in 1919, was denied by Murray Head. The subject of the song is to denounce the attitude of Americans who, despite the Watergate scandal, continued to vote for Nixon. Murray Seafield St George Head (born 5 March 1946) is an English actor and singer. Head has appeared in a number of films, including a starring role as the character Bob Elkin in the Oscar-nominated 1971 film ''Sunday Bloody Sunday''. As a musician, he is most recognised for his international hit songs "Superstar" (from the 1970 rock opera ''Jesus Christ Superstar'') and " One Night in Bangkok" (the 1984 single from the musical ''Chess'', which topped the charts in various countries), and for his 1975 album ''Say It Ain't So''. "Someone's Rocking My Dreamboat" is a song written by Leon René, Otis René and Emerson Scott in 1941. It was recorded in 1941 by The Ink Spots (Decca 4045), Erskine Hawkins (Bluebird B-11277), "Hutch" Leslie Hutchinson with Orchestra (HMV B.D.1006), and The Four Tones & Eddie Beal Trio (Make Believe Ballroom AM 02357-E). It was first heard in a feature film in ''Bullet Scars'' (1942). It was also heard in 1942 in ''Juke Girl'' and ''Wings for the Eagle''. 1942 also saw versions of the song released by bandleaders Shep Fields, Benny Goodman, Woody Herman, and Artie Shaw. Anthony John Selvidge (born 11 January 1945), known professionally as Tony Kaye, is an English keyboardist, best known as a founding member of the progressive rock band Yes. Born into a musical family, Kaye was classically trained and intended to become a concert pianist before he developed an interest in jazz and contemporary rock and pop music. He joined several groups through the 1960s, including the Federals, Johnny Taylor's Star Combo, Jimmy Winston & His Reflections, and Bittersweet. From 1968 to 1971, Kaye was a member of Yes and played on their first three albums. He then formed Badger and relocated to Los Angeles in 1974, after which he toured with David Bowie and joined Detective. Sandy Denny
Alexandra Elene MacLean Denny (6 January 1947 – 21 April 1978) was an English singer who was lead singer of the British folk rock band Fairport Convention. She has been described as "the pre-eminent British folk rock singer". After briefly working with the Strawbs, Denny joined Fairport Convention in 1968, remaining with them until 1969. She formed the short-lived band Fotheringay in 1970, before focusing on a solo career. Between 1971 and 1977, Denny released four solo albums: ''The North Star Grassman and the Ravens'', '' Sandy'', '' Like an Old Fashioned Waltz'' and '' Rendezvous''. She also duetted with Robert Plant on "The Battle of Evermore" for Led Zeppelin's album ''Led Zeppelin IV'' in 1971. Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. Fleetwood Mac were founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer, before bassist John McVie joined the line-up for their eponymous debut album. Danny Kirwan joined as a third guitarist in 1968.
