Aki Sawada
is a Japanese former competitive figure skater. She is the 2005 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final silver medalist and 2005 JGP Japan champion. Career Sawada began skating when she was six at her mother's encouragement. She debuted on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in the 2002–03 season. In 2003–04, she won bronze medals at the ISU Junior Grand Prix in Japan and at the Japan Junior Championships. She was then assigned to the 2004 World Junior Championships, where she placed fifth. During the 2004–05 JGP series, Sawada won silver in Hungary and bronze in Ukraine and qualified for the JGP Final, where she finished seventh. is a Japanese singer-songwriter, reporter, and radio personality. Since the start of her professional singing career in 1980, Sawada has recorded over 27 studio albums. Life and career At the age of five, Sawada became a member of the Otowa Basket Lily Association and started singing nursery rhymes and appeared as a child actor. She appeared in a TV commercial for "Panshiron" sponsored by Rohto Pharmaceutical Co. in 1968, alongside Kiyoshi Atsumi. He finished in third place in the 26th (2001) and 27th (2002) as the representative of Mie Prefecture. was a career military officer and a lieutenant general in the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. Biography Sawada was the third son of a farmer in what is now the Kamobe neighborhood of the city of Kochi, Kōchi Prefecture. After attending military preparatory schools in Kōchi and Hiroshima, he graduated from the 18th class of the Imperial Japanese Army Academy in 1905, serving as a junior officer in an artillery regiment. Setsuzō Sawada (澤田 節蔵, September 9, 1884 - July 4, 1976) was a Japanese diplomat. Born in Tottori Prefecture in what is now the town of Iwami, he graduated from the law faculty of the University of Tokyo and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He served in several key posts including Consul-General in New York (1929–30), Delegate to the League of Nations (1930–32), and Ambassador to Brazil (1934–38). Noriko "Nikki" Sawada Bridges Flynn (February 11, 1923 – February 7, 2003) was a Japanese American writer and civil rights activist. She also helped overturn the law in Nevada barring mixed-race marriages. Biography Sawada was born in Gardena to Japanese parents who leased land to grow their own crops. Her parents leased the land because it was illegal for them to own farmland at the time in California. Sawada started classes at Santa Monica College, but she was forced to stop after her first year.
