Saw X
''Saw X'' is an upcoming American horror film directed by Kevin Greutert, from a screenplay by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger. The film is the ninth main installment, and tenth installment overall in the ''Saw'' film series, and stars Tobin Bell, Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, and Michael Beach. Filming began in October 2022 in Mexico City. The film is set to be theatrically released on October 27, 2023, by Lionsgate Films. Kevin Greutert
Kevin Greutert (born March 31, 1965) is an American film director, film editor and writer, best known for his work on the ''Saw'' film series, as well as character-based supernatural horrors. He is married to actress Elizabeth Rowin. Career Greutert was the film editor for '' The Strangers'' (2008), '' Room 6'' (2006), and ''Journey to the End of the Night'' (2006). He was also the editor of the ''Saw'' series for the first five films, as well as the eighth, ''Jigsaw''. He made his feature directorial debut with ''Saw VI'', which was released on October 23, 2009. Greutert wrote the original story for and was signed on to direct ''Paranormal Activity 2'', but he was forced off the project and onto ''Saw 3D'' after Twisted Pictures (production company behind the ''Saw'' films) exercised a "contractual clause" in his contract. ''Jigsaw'' is a 2017 American horror film directed by the Spierig Brothers and written by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger. It is the eighth installment in the ''Saw'' film series and stars Matt Passmore, Callum Keith Rennie, Clé Bennett, and Hannah Emily Anderson. The plot follows a group of people who find themselves forced to participate in a series of deadly "games" inside a barn. Meanwhile, the police investigate a new series of murders that fit the ''modus operandi'' of the eponymous Jigsaw Killer, who has been dead for almost a decade.
