Savski Nasip
Savski Nasip ( sr, Савски Насип) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Novi Beograd. In wider sense, the term is used for the entire right bank of the Sava on the territory of the New Belgrade, which is partially being arranged as the pedestrian "Sava quay" (''Savski kej''). Since early 2010s, the term was colloquially attached to the westernmost section of the bank, the riparian zone which is threatened by the illegal construction of weekend houses in the forbidden zone. Location Savski Nasip covers an area of the western part of the Block 18-a and eastern part of the Block 69, located between ''Savski nasip'' street to the north and the Sava river to the south. List Of Belgrade Neighbourhoods And Suburbs
Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia, is divided into seventeen municipalities, of which ten are urban and seven suburban. In this list, each neighbourhood or suburb is categorised by the municipality in which it is situated. Six of these ten urban municipalities are completely within the bounds of Belgrade City Proper, while the remaining four have both urban and suburban parts. The seven suburban municipalities, on the other hand, are completely located within suburban bounds. Mala Ciganlija
Mala Ciganlija ( sr-cyr, Мала Циганлија) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade (the capital of Serbia), located the municipality of Novi Beograd. Mala Ciganlija is a peninsula on the left bank of the Sava river, just over 1 km long and 200 m wide. It encloses the small bay, called ''Zimovnik'' (''winter shelter''), where the facilities of the shipyard ''Belgrade'' are located. Technically, it is an extension of the Novi Beograd's Block 69. Once almost uninhabited and completely forested, in the last 20 years its western half in entirely urbanized and industrialized, in connection to the expansion of the shipyard and the growing number of gravel selling and separating facilities on the Sava's bank. Iron Gate I Hydroelectric Power Station
The Iron Gate I Hydroelectric Power Station ( ro, Porțile de Fier I, sr, Ђердап I/Đerdap I) is the largest dam on the Danube river and one of the largest hydro power plants in Europe. It is located on the Iron Gate gorge, between Romania and Serbia. The Romanian side of the power station produces approximately annually, while the Serbian side of the power station produces . Surčin
Surčin ( sr-Cyrl, Сурчин, ) is a municipality of the city of Belgrade. As of 2011 census, it has a population of 43,819 inhabitants. It is the newest municipality of Belgrade, having split from the municipality of Zemun in 2003. Its most important feature is the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, located just a few kilometers west of the town. This municipality is a suburb of Belgrade. History The area of the town has been settled since prehistoric times, and archaeological findings from ancient eras are common. Dr Ivan Ribar ( sr-cyr, Др Иван Рибар) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of New Belgrade. Blokovi ( sr-cyr, Блокови, English: "Blocks") or Novobeogradski blokovi ( sr-cyr, Новобеоградски блокови) is the semi-formal plural name for a group of urban neighborhoods in Belgrade's municipality of New Belgrade. The neighborhood is located in the southeastern urbanized section of the New Belgrade municipality, on the left bank of the Sava river, across from the islands of Ada Međica and Ada Ciganlija. Old Sava Bridge
The Old Sava Bridge ( sr, Стари савски мост, Stari savski most) is a and bridge, crossing the river Sava in Belgrade, Serbia. It is the smallest road bridge in the Serbian capital and is used both for car and tram traffic. The main span between the two pillars of this tied arch bridge is over in length. Ada Ciganlija ( sr-cyr, Ада Циганлија, ), colloquially shortened to Ada, is a river island that has artificially been turned into a peninsula, located in the Sava River's course through central Belgrade, Serbia. The name can also refer to the adjoining artificial Lake Sava and its beach.
