Camille Saviola
Camille Saviola (July 16, 1950 – October 28, 2021) was an American actress and singer. She appeared in numerous films, television series, plays and musicals. Early life Saviola was born in The Bronx, New York City, New York (state), New York, the daughter of Mary (née d'Esopo) and Michael Saviola. She grew up near Yankee Stadium and graduated from the High School of Music and Art, then attended college for one year before dropping out to get into acting. Camille became lead singer of the Margo Lewis Explosion rock band in the 1970s and was signed to a disco music, disco contract in the late 1970s. Career Throughout the next 25 years, Saviola would perform in theater, television, and films. She is best known for her supporting roles, especially as Italian, Latino or Jewish characters. Javier Pedro Saviola Fernández (; born 11 December 1981) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as a forward. He represented both Barcelona and Real Madrid, also having notable spells with Benfica and Olympiacos, and was named as the youngest player on Pelé's FIFA 100 list of the 125 greatest living footballers in 2004. Marilyn E. Saviola (July 13, 1945 – November 23, 2019) was an American disability rights activist, executive director of the Center for the Independence of the Disabled in New York from 1983 to 1999, and vice president of Independence Care System after 2000. Saviola, a polio survivor from Manhattan, New York, is known nationally within the disability rights movement for her advocacy for people with disabilities and had accepted many awards and honors for her work. Early life and education On July 13, 1945, Saviola was born in Manhattan at the New York Hospital. Her parents, Peter Saviola and Camilla 'Millie' Saviola, who had no other children, were Italian immigrants who ran a candy shop/luncheonette in the Bronx. In August 1955, a few weeks after her tenth birthday, Saviola contracted polio.
